Our Nor Cal group took down #1 Team Elite (GA) who was also unbeaten 65-61.

McKenzie Forbes ended with 17 pts, 7 rebs, 2 stls, 2 assts

Aquira DeCosta was in foul trouble all game but ended with 13 pts, 2 reb, 2 stls

Big win for these girls!

is there any information about the other Cal Stars teams? How come there is no roster information for the Nike Premier, Flight, Valley teams that are also participating?

Anyone have information on today's Cal Stars EBYL loss at NIKE Nationals...71-62 to Philly Belles.

Yes, they pretty much trailed by 6 or more most of the game.

Every time Cal Stars appeared to get on a run to gain momentum, Philly Belles would make a play to squash out the rally.

There were some questionable calls/non-calls as well, and a late rally killing technical followed by 2 big turnovers late in the game that pretty much sealed Stars fate. To their credit, Belles played with high energy from the outset, executed and attacked Cal Stars start to finish.

I have a friend who witnessed the last 5 mins of game. To preface this....he is NOT a Cal Stars apologist and not a big fan of Sopak... So what he said about it to me carries some weight.

He says Stars got hosed. CLEAR missed double dribble and traveling calls on Belles. And the
tech was HORRENDOUS.... small guard goes to hole and DeCosta blocked it...no question clean.
And coach's reaction (in his mind) didn't merit a T in that situation.
He said one REF was particularly bad and kept making calls or no calls that favored Belles.

he also said the Stars had made a furious comeback from down double digits at 1 point and had a legit chance to win... and he thought REFS had a big impact at the end.
