Campo @ CVC, Battle for DFAL Supremacy…

I’m up high in the stands at Clayton Valley Charter, watching Campo frosh put the finishing touches on a 26-point win…. The score was 27-25 Campo at the half, but the Cougs did everything right in the 2nd half to run away with it.

The varsity game should be a war…. The Cougs are 10-4, 2-0 in league, CVC is 13-2, 2-0 in league.

Last time I looked, they were only 2 spots apart in the MaxPreps rankings for the NCS, Campo at #8, CVC at #10.

To my surprise, CVC leads the JV game, 18-7 after one quarter.

Wow, CVC JV is up 30-9 midway thru the 2nd quarter…

Campo goes on a little 18-0 run to get it to 30-27 at the half…. like turning on a water faucet…

The Cougs’ run is finally interrupted by a CVC FT made…. I think it was 25 straight…. But now it’s 39-34 Campo after CVC sinks a 3. 5:55 left 3rd.

I think it started when the Cougs went to the fullcourt pressure…. CVC had a horrible time breaking it.
