Great game, congratulations to Cardinal Newman. SMS girls have nothing to be ashamed of. They played their hearts out . They are still the only program in the state to be in the open since it started. In contrast the sms boys team is in division 2 . What would happen if SMS girls were in division 2?

They would have to play D2 Mitty and probably not on a neutral court.

Really? Cardinal Newman beats Maxpreps nationally 6th ranked St. Marys, and their State rankings drop 3 places? Clay, Maxpreps needs to change. This is non-credible, and meaningless.

No human had SMS as 6th in the nation. 6th in NorCal is about right.

Maxpreps needs to use a system like calpreps does for football, that doesn't count games over much weaker opponents in the ratings.
