DLS over Granada
Monte Vista over Foothill
San Ramon over Livermore
Amador Valley over California

Monte Vista vs. Foothill should be the best game of the night in this league and has a few nice match ups.

DLS over Granada, likely running-clock 4th q
Foothill over MV
San Ramon over the Cowboys
Amador over Calif.

DLS and SRV should not have any trouble on the road against the 2 Livermore schools.

The other 2 games could go either way, although I would take both MV and AV at home in these contests.

A much improved Foothill team would love to make a statement by going into Danville and coming away with a victory, but that is much easier said than done. Nick Jones will have the Stangs ready to battle in what could decide 2nd place in this league.

Cal is also improved, but got shut down last week at Foothill. They have a chance to redeem themselves in Pleasanton tonight. AV-Cal-SRV will be fighting for 4th place behind DLS and then MV & Foothill, and this game may be a bellwether.

DLS 84 - Granada 71. Much closer than anyone would have thought. Ratinho 30.
SRV 57 - Livermore 39. Henderson 12, and QB Kevin Davidson 8 for SRV.
MV 57 - Foothill 45. Fadal 20, Cobb 16. MV was up 28-19 at half.
AV beat Cal by 15 in an ugly game.

standings are
DLS and MV 3-0
Foothill and AV 2-1
Cal and SRV 1-2
Granada and Livermore 0-3

Friday games
Foothill at DLS
MV at Cal
Livermore at AV
Granada at SRV

How does a team like Granada score 71 on DLS? Was this a no defense game. I did notice watching DLS at there tourney that they were not playing that hard nose defense that we have seen from Allocco teams.

when Granada gets their outside shooters going they make things interesting. I've seen them play pretty well

Granada is bad! DLS needs to step up on defense if they want to compete in open. Defense wins games

Billy Bob how can they be much improved there 3-11 ..last year they were 15-12

Yeah, they've lost 6 in a row. The 71 they got last night was the 2nd most points they've scored all season. MV held them to just 39 on Friday night.

Just my opinion. i thought they did an good job of competing against an outstanding DLS squad. My definition of competing is playing hard, getting loose balls, and rebounding. I am not comparing Granada to last year's team. I am comparing them to how they played earlier this season to how they are playing now.

However, the litmus test is Friday night against SRV.

interestingly enough, Granada was ahead of Dougherty Valley with about 3 minutes to go in the game, before Grabow took over. they had probably 10 3-pointers that game. i thought that might have got them back on track after a tough early preseason (several 20-30 point losses) but, they followed that with a 20-point loss to Cal, 39 points vs MV. and, then play DLS tough scoring 70. maybe a win on the road over SRV will get them on track.
