The Thundering herd took a big hit to grad, but they have two QB's in Jaden Machado at 6-1 and 197 plus Jake Jordan at 5-11 and 155 to run the ground game...what kind of a air attack Elk Grove has we will find out soon.
To protect these two guys, El Grove has a junior and senior line ranging from 190 to 275 which looks to point to a running game. Elk Grove went 7-0 in league play and ran over every body except Monterey Trail, who stood up to the Thundering Herd, but lost 31-20....For the season, Elk Grove went 13-1 with three straight wins in the playoff's, before going down in a tight battle to Folsom 35-27 at Sacramento State.
To beef up the varsity,, a 6-4 JV team moves up, but this team had a rough time and the varsity may have an even rougher time as every team in the Delta league is up and some even stronger. So there won't be any run-aways for the 2016 season as every game might be earned.
