He waited patiently for a couple of years and the next 2 years should be his time to shine. Nothing is guaranteed because the philosophy is to compete and playing time is earned. That's how it should be. I'm curious if he is related to the Crump of the mid 90's, Kenny. My contact on the team tells me Shiren Crump.

Based on there recent success the last few years I'm sure they will be fine, especially with all that talent. My concern is the defense. They gave up way too many big plays that will need some much needed attention this off season.
I feel like the third school in that memorable 3-way coin flip was Del Campo, with Matt Barnes. Anyone?…I'm sure the Miners were sky high after defeating Elliott and the Pacers in their close 1996 contest, only to later suffer the heartbreak of missing out on the postseason via a 3-way coin flip despite finishing 9-1…

Clyde was a couple of years before Kenny, but totally agree he was a good linebacker. And that players like Clyde, Ontario, and Dante benefited from previous players who put Grant on the map. I also agree that there were a lot of players that should have played D1 ball, lots. Grant was easily the most competitive environment I ever played in. It's too bad so many of them got involved in neighborhood politics, instead of chasing the dream.Crump...Pacers last name of the Manors...Know Kenny --solid linebacker and unsung core player of Alberghini teams...players like Crump and many others who were not D1 recruits allowed the Clyde Sanders and other press headliners to shine
Just as I had suspected.... Ala Chad Elliott. Blake Nycum from Folsom going to be a pacer. He was #2 behind Ryder last year as a soph. Very good player but on the smaller side which won't matter much at the hs level. Knows the Folsom offense well can can throw it. The issue at Folsom is their JV QB (Brody Rudnecki) is better than Nycum and Rudnecki is #2. (Btw he's an EDH kid) . Imagine if all these EDH kids stayed and played at OR?Transfer portal is in effect
Why are some kids from El Dorado Hills not going to Oak Ridge? They have an incredible program with a rich tradition and some very notable alumni, including Austin Collie, Seyi Ajirotutu, and Ian Book. Is the allure of Folsom really that strong? Is the ice that much colder? I mean, who wouldn’t want to toss the ball to playmakers like Edwards, Womack, and the rest of the talent at Oak Ridge? It’s hard to imagine a better place to develop as an athlete and be part of a storied legacy.Just as I had suspected.... Ala Chad Elliott. Blake Nycum from Folsom going to be a pacer. YupYeah its really Ryder Lyons. You have the top play caller in the nation coming back. Grant needs a QB.
Huge hole and Folsom have tons of talent returning as well.
Serra comparison isn't a good one for those talking about that. Serra style has always bothered Folsom. Grant doesn't play that way at all.
YupInsider perspective....The G has a QB...straight baller
To be unveiled when time is right

That is a very good question. I think it comes down to exposure and the marketing machine Folsom is. There kids tend to get over recruited and on general OR is the opposite. Taylor reminds me of a very good old school HS coach who doesn't do a ton for his players in terms of next level. I say that knowing very well that is the case. Edwards is a 1x in 50 year unicorn. You can't teach 6"7 255 with speed. He could have gone to Mira Loma and gotten bama offer. Why are some kids from El Dorado Hills not going to Oak Ridge? I'm with you! The marketing and exposure make a huge difference! I just find it weird that kids would rather sit on the bench at Folsom than play at Oak Ridge where they can continue their development and still receive scholarship consideration. Especially since you'll probably face Folsom twice in the season. You won't get recruited if you're not on the field! (At least most won't) LolThat is a very good question. I agree that you can't teach a player to be 6'7 255 with mobility. But QB's, lineman, rb, and others can still develop at a reputable program such as Oak Ridge. They've went to the section finals the last few seasons and it appears that several players who were sitting at the sidelines at Folsom could have been key contributors at Oak Ridge. I guess the kids don't see it that way. I understand going to Folsom and playing but not sitting on the sidelines.

....In my best Run DMC
They wannabe down with THE KING!
Whatever you like Biggieis the shift here or is the trend growing? Lol
My point was completely confirmed yesterday with Folsom Soph QB Brody Rudnicki getting Colorada State offer. He played JV last year and will be Ryders backup next year and the starter the year after. He's from EDH and he's getting offers without taking a snap at Varsity level. I would hate to sit myself but if you are getting the exposure and offers who really cares.I'm with you! This is also why Nycum transferred to Grant. He would have been Folsom #3. That is how loaded Folsom is.
Nycum won't be eligible for the Folsom game. You guys better have a good incumbent.Perhaps
Pacer Nation welcomes the Bulldogs to Alberghini Field
This will be settled between the lines
Indeed! I agree with your point. I'm just wondering if he would he get that same kind of offer starting at Oak Ridge? My point was completely confirmed yesterday with Folsom Soph QB Brody Rudnicki getting Colorada State offer. So loaded that they loss to a 6 loss Serra team at HOME.My point was completely confirmed yesterday with Folsom Soph QB Brody Rudnicki getting Colorada State offer. Nothing stokes the internal.competitiveness of the G than doubt...literally Pacers don't rest on laurels. Never pity the G-High PacersSo loaded that they loss to a 6 loss Serra team at HOME.
If the word is out that you can go to Folsom, be 3rd (which means you don't play) and still get offers, everyone else is cooked. Except Grant and a few others that have their own niche and are geographically just far enough away.My point was completely confirmed yesterday with Folsom Soph QB Brody Rudnicki getting Colorada State offer. I'm loving the direction!Whatever you like Biggie
Agreed fam...as a Pacer Parent was fond of telling me and father of a Grant Pacer pass rushing 6ft -6in defensive end from the late 90s teams of physicality >>>I'm loving the direction!
Still waiting on the defense to feature lockdown corners, hard-hitting safeties that bring the ambulance, and a relentless front seven. Lol...
Not sure if those days will ever come back, but it would be nice to see them
