Knew the headline would get cha! :)

Folsom comes into 2022 with a strong non-league schedule in Serra, Pitt, and DLS. Wins against all three Bay Area teams would put them in the drivers seat for another title run this year.

The 2022 squad is likely better than the 2021 squad. We've seen a lot of Folsom/DLS in the past and probably know what it looks like at this point. I am very intrigued to see the match up against Serra in the 1st game this year on the famous blue turf in beautiful Folsom.

Who's ready!?

BTW- Just re-watched the Folsom win over DLS playoff game from last year. Still proud of the Bulldogs for dominating both sides of the ball in a game AT DLS. I think it was the turning point in the program.

Hopefully they can prevail. We're getting tired of seeing DLS undersized lineman and that veer offense. I want to see Folsom in state and see how they match up to the Trinity

Folsom and their “Big” linemen couldn’t even beat a San Diego Team that Lost to DLS and their undersized linemen by 4 TD’s last year so there’s that…. 🤣

Why wait for the "in state", Folsom could just schedule an early season non league matchup.......What's the hesitation ? With half a brain tied behind her back Folsom's AD could probably get ESPN to pick up the tab for a matchup/broadcast

The best was seeing those "big lineman" outplay and dominate DLSs vaunted line on both sides of the field in a playoff game, AT DLS.

That one had to sting. :)

You want a match up with mostly local Folsom kids against teams in SoCal drawing from hundreds of miles away and living in temporary quarters for a semester?

If so- let's do it! :)

Funny that Folsom beating DLS by one point when DLS opted for a 2-point conversion that failed is seen as dominating. Nice try. At least DLS knows how to play SJB or MD in the State Open Game and show up somewhat competitively. Folsom would lose by 50 points to either of the so cal monsters.

By the way pastyfastquick3, how about going back to your old G61 posting name. As for 2022, I will say 42-14 DLS when they play Folsom, and Serra will beat Folsom.

A win, in a playoff game, IN CONCORD. Solid.

The tape shows DLS getting dominated on both sides of the line all night. Truth is in the tape.

Interesting; it is hard to figure out how one team DOMINATES the line on both sides of the ball and ecks out a win at the last second. You are the only person who has EVER said that would be domination.

The tape shows skinny, slow lineman on DLS get blown off both sides of the ball.

I think the schedule is pretty awesome. DLS, Serra, Pitt, nice way to load it up. But personally until anyone else in Nor Cal lines up Texas, Florida, and a few other states, well, they will never ever come close to the legacy DLS built itself on. And let’s not forget just run off 75 wins straight. Just half, then we can put them in the subject. Until then, everybody will always just be second when it comes to being called legendary.

Looks like Folsom is once again deliberately scheduling themselves to the 1-AA consolation bowl instead of trying to get to the Open. Really wish they would try to actually challenge for it just one time.

Take this somewhere else. It’s the same argument from December that doesn’t need to be replayed.
......maybe present it to Casey Kasem for his next compilation of Oldies Hits to be peddled at the upcoming AARP "I Remember When"...old Fart Fest at the SunCity Retirement Reunion. (hearing aids, optional)

In 2021 DLS and Folsom split two games. Not sure Folsom can be crowned "King of Nor Cal", even though they won the last game the two played. Remember that DLS basically destroyed Folsom in previous games, so let's see how this year plays out before declaring a new king in Nor Cal.

Good to see the Bulldogs bringing a lower sugar diet (non cupcakes) to their non-league schedule and more roughage & fibre that contributes to later season intestinal fortitude. 👍

Not to mention the Sierra Foothill League. Always a mysterious under the radar top 3 league in CA.

top 3 huh lol I think Trinity, Mission, and Big West/ Moore/ and Baseline league will disagree.
Pasty typically likes to speak myopically -
According to CalPreps:
2021 #1-#4 were SS section leagues, #5 WCAL, #9 EBAL-M, #12 Sierra Foothill
2020 #1-#2 were SS section leagues, #3-#4 SDS section leagues #8 Sierra Foothill (Although, I really don't like to count 2020 in any stats)
2019 #1-#2 were SS section leagues, #3 EBAL-M, #4 TRAL (CS) mostly included in NorCal Bowls, #8 Sierra Foothill
2018 #1-#4 were SS section leagues, #6 EBAL-M, #7 Sierra Foothill
2017 #1 Trinity, #2 Sierra Foothill
2016 #1-#2 were SS section leagues, #6 Sierra Foothill

So Pasty would be right if he meant to say "Top 3 league in NorCal." But he is pretty far off to say "Always a mysterious under the radar" since he, singlehandedly, makes sure Folsom and the Sierra Foothill league are NEVER under the radar.

At best, Sierra Foothill averages #7 in the state over the last 6 years.

Admittedly, last year was a little down for the SFL. They're usually better than what they showed last year. Most years I'd rate them slightly above the WCAL, from top to bottom. Last year though, the top half of the WCAL was better than the top half of the SFL in my opinion

Well Pasty, in all fairness, when DLS beat Folsom 31-10 earlier in the season you went into the Witness Protection Program for a while. Had to gently talk you off the ledge into re engaging on the board.DLS in the past, when losing games like that Folsom loss, had a tendency to refocus and rededicate, and rearm in terms of talent. Then they'd put a target on the program who beat them. Folsom doesn't have to play them every year, but I don't know that they'd want to be in the Spartans cross hairs every year either
