What are you talking about? This is their best team in the past decade. I don’t care if they’re underclassmen they are ballers. More d1 kids than DLS and their line was huge. They’re a good team.

D1 kids has never been what DLS is about, they win with discipline and execution. OLU if memory serves is picked to finish 5Th in league that doesn’t mean they are not good, it more highlights the differences in talent between North and South. Yes their line is huge, but that is the case with many teams in SoCal, last time these two teams played OLU line was huge as well. DLS lost because of poor tackling, and execution, the QB play in the passing game was a serious problem. They will struggle all year with quality teams if they can’t correct this. On another note OLU didn’t just schedule up this year because of transfers or they thought they would be good. They did this in prep for league play, and routinely have played tough non league games.
1) DLS of old used to win by the ways you are describing. We haven’t seen that version of them for a long time. They can no longer get by by simply having better coaching when everyone around you is getting better and better athletes.
2) This is OLU’s best schedule ever. Find one that’s better and I will retract everything and apologize.
3) They are picked to come in 3rd in the TL by CalHi Sports and Maxpreps.
4) OLU clearly knew how good they would be this year hence their schedule.
Obviously we won’t know who’s right or wrong until the end of the season but let’s not try to act like this is a bottom of the barrel TL team.
1. There is no need to apologize for having a opinion that is comical.
2. The bottom of the Barrel TL teams most years would be elite in NorCal that’s more the point.
3. In terms of OLU schedule they routinely schedule pretty tough none league games as most TL teams will. This has been the knock on most NorCal programs not named DLS. (Recently programs however are stepping up)
4. That version of DLS isn’t that far removed yes last year or year before I forget was their first loss to a NorCal team. That doesn’t signal a long decline.
5. Even if OLU goes on and wins the TL it doesn’t give validation to anything for you. Just like if they finish last it doesn’t validate me. The fact is the program has a young team, with a coach in his 2nd year trying to prepare for what is a rough TL league. The notion they looked around at their sophomores and said wow, we are going to be really good let’s book a brutal schedule I seriously doubt was ever part of the conversations. However playing high level competition to prepare for arguably the toughest league probably was.
I came away from that Serra game with a few observations. Number 2* below reminds me of an old cliché, "A Jack of all trades is a master of none" something like that anyways. First off congrats to the Padres on the win. A win is a win and for a first game of the season that big, no one on w.20th is crying over it.
Kudos to Folsom, too bad the games not 5 qtr's. they played well for 3 qtrs. Definitely an advantage to play a noon game for the Padres, despite Folsom’s overnight.

2. *Serra offense seems way too exotic, spread, RPO, trips bunch, raider dbl wing, pistol, swinging gate, Good Lord!!!
3. Serra's D is unbelievably impressive, I saw constant pressure/sacks, and a moxy that said we are faster then you in space.
4. Folsom QB, is as slippery as they come and their Defense is equally impressive.
5. Folsom should dominate the SFL this year again, however it will be a grind. Evey SFL team looks good.

It's pretty easy to be a "TL Homer" these days without even claiming Trinity as your chosen league...I always found it odd going on a Board that you hate and for years telling how they suck over and over and over, this is coming from a grown adult
If referring to me, I don’t hate the board at all, some of the babies on here who are easily offended I can do without. And I‘m not sure I have ever said anybody or program sucks. Even the certain Folsom fan I never directed this towards him or the program. Please show where I have stated this here on this thread? I haven’t, it might be what you’re hearing but it’s not being said.
