Folsom Vs Oceanside (SDG)

How do you measure a team now versus the 70's. Players are bigger, stronger and faster. It's a tough comparison. I would venture and say today's Folsom team would probably soundly defeat a 70's Cordova team. Did the Cordova team win by running clock every game? Did they play the same level of competition?

These measures of comparing all time teams is tough, You can compare stats...but even these are tough. Maybe compare players as far as D1 recruits (if you call that talent). Difference between 70's football and today is light years difference.

I think this is a really interesting game. Oceanside makes a third trip to the state bowls. I still think Folsom is the favorites, but this game will be closer than I first thought when they changed the regional/state bowl layout.

49-7 Folsom = I have no idea what I am talking about

35-28 = Pac 5 has 7 teams that could have beat both teams.

Just like Servite was supposed to take 2nd in the Trinity and JSerra wasn't supposed to amount to anything this year?

In fact, didn't you predict the Friars would beat the Gaels?

Did any of your predictions this year come out right?

this year's Folsom team has most of last year's team back (and that team is bigger and stronger due to hard work in the weight room and better due to experience) plus some weapons up from JV (Jake Jeffery for example) and some new blood (Williams for example). This year's team is much better than last year's team as they barely lost anybody. Just look at the scores by which they beat folks this year and last.
