Hangin’ out at Serra today…

Hmm…. Serra had the ball out of the time out, but Hillman stole the inbounds anyway. Fouled, sinks 1.

21-17 now.

Alley oop by Serra fails…. but Riordan’s does NOT. Very loud slam by Kirby Seals off a perfect Hillman pass!!

Riordan's defense is the difference this year. The Crusaders have held its first 3 WCAL opponents under 40 points. Serra was held to only 5 points in the 3rd when Riordan ran away with the game.

Ranchler kid is POY. Plays hard the entire time. Really hopes he ends up
At SDSU Seems like Serra did not play that bad and then next thing you know they’re down 25 points Serra cheer section non-existent. Guess the football demographics don’t want to support the basketball team demographics.

Did you mean Jasir Rencher? He has already committed to Texas A&M. Agree that he has a high motor and is very athletic.

They've been incredible without a doubt. One would think a Chuck Rapp team would take every possession down to under 5 seconds and back-cut Riordan to death and make the final score 39-36... Nope. Crusaders defensively have been relentless all 32 minutes. This team would beat Aaron Gordon's Mitty teams.

That was exactly Rapp’s strategy which kept the score close at the half. Riordan amped up the D to pick up full court and double team traps in the second half…
