Folsom's 2015 non-league schedule

When you have success such as Folsom in recent years it becomes much harder to schedule many of the tough teams. Many of you aren't involved in the conversations, exchanges or even negotiations when teams are scheduling or attempting to schedule other successful teams. I know, because when I tried helping Buhach Colony (when they had that solid run) schedule a couple games many of the teams.. some of which were very successful said nope... we aren't ready or thanks but no thanks. I can imagine that the thrashing of the likes of Grant... Oceanside (who overrated or not was 14-0 at the time) Granite Bay ... Cathedral Catholic etc. makes it that much harder to schedule some quality opponents. Of course there are others out there that will play, but it's a matter of being able to travel if necessary. Not everyone can pony up the funds to travel all over the nation like DLS. It would be great to see it happen for Folsom but i don't think the lack of it will underscore the quality of their program.

Well said...

Finally someone gives Folsom some credit...

I never thought I would see so much hate for a team winning a state title...

Here's to the homers!

I look at browning and see a great high school qb. I think, though, that DLS showed in the two games they thrashed Folsom that Browning's lack of foot speed will hurt him in college. He will have a real challenge when he goes up against fast defenses,a nd he will have a hard time ever starting at U of W.

By the way G61; you say "you own me"? You are a newcomer to the Norcal Preps posting and come across as very naive when it comes to analyzing hs football. You own no one.

Not to impugn your experience with Buhach, but typically the opposite it true. It becomes harder to schedule locally, but not harder to schedule quality opponents - especially if you are willing and able to travel.

See Grant Union as an example. Due to numerous factors, they often find it difficult to schedule locally and often have to schedule out of section. That's precisely why they scheduled 2 Fresno area programs last season. The same local scheduling difficulty often occurs for Del Oro and GB (due to their area dominance). But neither of those programs have difficulty finding games against quality opponents from other areas. If Folsom's excuse for not seeking these games boiled down to not having $$ to travel, I'd fully understand. But we all know $$ is not a problem for that program. The opportunities are out there if they are at all interested.

In fairness, Jake was a SOPH and JR. the two times DLS faced him. He became a much more complete and better QB his Senior season, which is not all that uncommon. In short, DLS didn't see the same QB everyone else saw in 2014. That's pretty significant.

Also, the supporting cast surrounding him in 2012 and 2013 wasn't near as deep and talented as this past Fall. I think that became pretty apparent to even the most casual observer.

You've got to understand that everything he says is patter and for effect. His message board exploits are akin to the really bad daily commuters you see on the road every day. They seem to have blinders on as they drive -- completely oblivious to what's going on around them and locked into their own agenda. I say that because he says the same things over and over without realizing or acknowledging what else has been discussed before or after.

For example, he continues to label those he perceives as haters as Bay area or DLS supporters despite the fact that it's been made clear -- numerous times -- that many of the people that disagree with him are fans of the SJS and reside nowhere near the Bay. That just goes to show that he shouldn't be taken seriously anymore. He's obviously not here for legit discussion and as more and more recognize that, he'll largely be ignored.

You have simply been deaf to the accolades. Folsom's run is impressive. Great program. These Folsom threads get so much action because your posts are so dipshitastic.

The Folsom threads continue to be the most popular on this site. It is very interesting...

Folsom had one of the best years in state history last year and it continues to anger people...why is that!? They had the most prolific offense and QB in state history. Despite that, many of you come on here and continue to bash them. The only thing I can think of is---------

A. You are a Bay Area homer and refuse to accept that a team was good outside of DLS. Crazy concept huh? "I mean, how could anyone in CA think another team was better than DLS ONE YEAR!?"

B. You live in the SJS and hate Folsom because they got so much notoriety and coverage so fast.

C. Your team or your kid got pounded by Folsom.

D. You sat on the Oceanside side of the field during the state title game.

E. Your handle is "mtnjohn" or "mshnasty" and you come on here just to look for the words "Folsom" in a thread, because it angers you.

Some of you need to get a major grip on life....or a job

Sorry to burst your bubble G61 but Folsom was not better than DLS this year and this is coming from possibly the biggest DLS hater on the board!

That is your opinion. You are entitled to it.

I watched both teams play this year. I felt that Folsom would have won a head to head matchup 41-20.

I am not a DLS hater whatsoever. I think they had a great team and a great season. I just STRONGLY feel that there is a team up near the foothills, up Highway 50, named Folsom that was better

G61- if you've actually ever read any of my post I've been very supportive of Folsom. I have more reason to dislike DLS than Folsom but It's your post that are all negative and the fact you never have any facts to support your arguments. All you do is throw around the word homer and shoot your emojis guns. It's like a comedian doing the same routine over and over again for 20 years, get a new act and stop being a clown. Folsom 2014 was a great football team and every credible publication has them #2 in the state. Get over your delusional and hypothetical argment that Folsom won a game that never happened 42-21. Don't get whinny we you get called out for calling people out.

G61, for the record I think Folsom had a great team and I enjoyed watching them play. I just don't think they could have matched up physically with DLS.

We will never know now...

All we have is our personal opinions

On a side note... I do love living in Folsom

I would rather live in Loomis on property than have neighbors and traffic jammed up my cazoo...but that just me.

Take a look at the basketball boards and it is the same schtick with this clown....except Folsom isn't winning it all so he had to

crawl back under his rock.....he will be gone soon enough.

LOL Loomis!? You mean off Highway 80 where traffic is TWICE as bad as Highway 50!? Makes sense to me...

Folsom is better...

You must be delusional about Folsom basketball. They ARE winning. In fact, they are the #1 seed in SJS D1.

Some people on here are completely nuts! Loomis-LOL
uzi.r191677.gif

I was in Loomis once and was not impressed. Hope I'm not slamming folks with this comment.

Loomis isn't bad, just different from Folsom...

Loomis is generally more of a rural town.

Folsom is much more of a "small city" feel. Housing communities, shopping, etc...

I actually like Loomis. I was just surprised at the dig on Folsom...

Folsom was actually just named the #2 city in CA for families... Funny how I didn't see Loomis on there....

Actually, I was there for a party being thrown by an old boss I didn't much like. Maybe that's why I feel the way I do.

Traffic twice a s bad as HWY 50?? delusional......

Small town feel with sprawling auto malls, strip malls abounding. traffic like no tommarow......not a chance.

Neighbors looking over the fence.....no property to speak of??? Not to mention home of one of the states worst prisons.

BTW where did I ever mention Folsom?

Folsom was a long time ago a small town, yes the days of Sutter street saloon.....but no more. Major growing city, heck Rocklin has twice the small town feel..

This message board has now reached a new low!! Slamming communities!!! Come on guys this is a high school football site not a city council board room. Enough. G61 does and says what he does because you all give him the ammo to do it. If you ignore it he will go away.

FARMAIR3......Is right, no matter what G61 comments on, don't respond....

Must have hit a cord with a Loomis resident lol
laugh.r191677.gif

Go look up average annual income for Folsom and for Loomis and get back to me. Folsom is also right on Folsom Lake, one of the most beautiful and popular lakes in CA. You get the best of both world's in Folsom...a small town feel and a small city vibe. Tons of shopping and restaraunts. You almost never have to leave Folsom
laugh.r191677.gif

I don't think Loomis even have a grocery store!

Oh, and the traffic on 80 is twice as bad as 50. You obviously don't travel during rush hour. Highway 80 has like 6 lanes and is still packed. What a joke
uzi.r191677.gif

You also STATED that I haven't said anything on the basketball boards because "Folsom wasn't winning." Are you an idiot or just delusional!?

Folsom just got the #1 seed in SJS Division 1!!!

Total and complete idiot...
uzi.r191677.gif

In that case you are the ONLY person in the United States who feels that way. By the way, how come Folsom did not step up their schedule in 2015? Pretty weak if you ask me. Could it be they lost everyone? I am actually going to enjoy Sacramento area teams laying it on Folsom in 2015, since Folsom seemed to run up the score at will in 2014. Payback is sweet.

I just have no respect for how the Folsom coaches run their program. I will be rooting for whoever is playing Folsom in 2015. I guess there is no worry about Folsom having to play DLS again, since Folsom will go back to being just an average team.

I hear you Mtn John. G61 going to be a little quieter this year. as the PROGRAM that is folsom will be in a downturn. sorry the best program team in California will be in a downturn... lol

uzi.r191677.gif
I think what's actually funny is not so much that I misspelled his name (for the first time, incidentally), it's that you didn't contest my comment that Folsom fans were the most delusional. That, if anything, is what speaks volumes.

I mentioned that you spelled his name wrong because you did. Even a casual fan of high school football should know the correct name of the most prolific passer in national high school football history.

And most delusional fans!? I guess going 14-0 and trouncing ALL of your opponents is a TOTAL delusion.
