Folsom's Jake Browning

Not bitter, just stating the facts...which seems to taste bitter to you.;) Good luck to both of them.

You can wait a few years, but Rosen looks better than Browning right now.

I just fail to understand the need to overreact or rush to judgement over such a small sample size. In this case, we're talking about 1 freaking game. ONE.

Even one season isn't enough to know anything. Both players have been dealt different cards and the talent surrounding each isn't at all equal. Maybe Rosen will prove to be better. Maybe he won't. What I do know is, one game surely doesn't tell anybody anything.

A lot can happen over the next 3-4 years. Barring injury, these 2 kids will end up playing anywhere between 35 and 50 college games. There's a ton left to see.

The sky is the limit for both kids. Both have so many gifts. Different situations completely though in terms of teams. UCLA looked the part of a team that will compete for a Rose Bowl berth. Washington will be clawing their way toward a .500 season.

Exactly. That was my only point...to not rush to judgement. I am sure both will be great.

But, for someone to come on here and proclaim that one school got the better quarterback because of one game is absolutely absurd.

Go Jake!

Browning is going to be good. If I were the coach though I would let him sit and learn for a year and go HAM in the weight room...he still looks like a High School kid amongst large men out there.

I would agree that sitting out a year might help a bit. But, I think in the long run this will help with become a better QB. Throwing him in the fire right away. Once he got settled in, he looked great. I thought he looked much better in the hurry up situation at the end.

I agree he looks young out there. But, he will mature fast in the situation he is in. Chris Peterson will be good for him. You could tell they were being VERY conservative with him through 3 quarters, which I understand. I am excited to see how it plays out.

You also have to remember that Washington is suiting up OVER 50 FRESHMAN! That team is going to be solid in a year or two.

I know Jake isn't going to scare anyone walking down a dark alley, but this image always comes to mind when his physical appearance becomes the topic. o_O

I personally thought he looked great out there. He looked young, but not out of place.

Tom Brady would approve, based on the picture above ;)

Just to strengthen my point, Rosen hasn't looked so good the past 2 weeks while Browning has thrown for an average of nearly 350 per game with 5 TD's against only 1 INT.

It's never wise to rush to judgement after 1 damn game.

Browning is a stud. He is a veteran in a rookies body. There are so many good QB's on the west coast right now. I remember watching Goff from Marin Catholic battle Scooby Wright and Keaton Dunsford from Newman a few years back at MC in NCS. Goff is incredible! Oh, pretty cool that Lockie waited his turn and now will be taking snaps at Oregon. He played well in first start yesterday. Big game against Utah next week.

Rosen looked like a true freshman his game yesterday vs. BYU. 3 picks. Luckily UCLA had the ground game to pick him up.

Jake has had two good games in a row.

Washington is going to be good in a few years...
