Foothill Shocks Dublin

Somebody must have seen this. Were the Gaels in foul trouble or injury plagued, or did Foothill just put the clamps on with a De La type in your face defense in the 2nd half? Details?

Hard to find details on this, but has to be the biggest upset of the year? Potential wear from DLS matchup?

Or maybe just a mental/focus letdown following the much anticipated matchup between the Gaels & Spartans

Sometimes a team focuses on that special matchup down the road on their calendar. After the matchup, win or lose all that focus drains the drive for the next game. That's why " playing up" in early season competition as a learning experience can be so important later on in the season

But they came out of the gate strong, leading 34-21 at the half. Usually a mental focus breakdown manifests itself early, not after the halftime speech. That's why I was wondering if Falls got injured or was in foul trouble, as without Beasley he is really their only go to guy. 14 second half points is just stunning.

For the season Foothill is averaging giving up 47.04 points a game. No matter their opponents that one of the better averages in The NCS. They are experiencing success on the defensive side of the ball.
