American Canyon hosts Alameda.

Alameda frosh win 56-16. Hope this isn’t a sign of things to come…

Alameda JV’s are putting on a show, too. They lead 45-16 at the half.

Just heard it’s raining inside the gym here, but well away from game or stands….

Man, do they make good roofs anymore? This place is like 5 years old.

American Canyon JV’s showed some fight, got back to within maybe 15 before Alameda pulled away to win 75-52.

Alameda’s new head coach should be familiar to most everyone on the forum, Miles Tarver, who ran the floor with Jason Kidd at St. Joe’s.

Their new JV coach looks familiar, but I can’t place him. I heard him called “Coach Mack”.

16-6 Alameda after 1 q. #2 of Alameda is astonishingly quick.

American Canyon fighting back…. 26-19 at the 3-minute mark.

31-22 Alameda at the half. Looks like American Canyon’s only real hope is to sink the 3-bomb. A LOT.

43-35 Alameda after 3 quarters…. Canyon can’t quite dig into that lead.

A big 3 for Canyon! 45-40 now, 6:32 left.

Steal, putback 2, bow it 47-44. 5:25 left, but Alameda answers, 49-44. Ala gets a stop, then nails a 3…. Canyon score, 52-46. Canyon has 4 fouls this quarterm, Ala none…. and another Ala 3.. and a Canyon 3, 55-49…. Fast action all of a sudden, my lil fingers are getting pooped.

Now it’s 57-49, Alameda with FT’s…. 59-49, this one’s cooked, I think. 2:46 left.

Canyon hits yet another 3, tho…. 59-52. They need stops bigtime.

American Canyon just won’t go away… Another 3 makes it 62-57 with 40 seconds left.

Alameda gets it across againt a full-on press, cals time with 29 seconds left.

They force a backcourt!

But Alameda steals it back before Canyon can get off a shot. Foul, 2 shots. First good, 2nd not…. Canyon races downcourt, nails a 3! #4 seems like he’s made TEN of ‘em! 63-60, 3.9 left, Ala has it on their own end…

Canyon tries to foul quickly, but it’s more like an accidental tackle…. Intentional foul call, this one’s over.

FT’s good, 65-60…. Another foul, not so rough this time…. 0.9 left, 1 FT good, game over.. 67-60. Quite a game after all!
