HMB defense handed out ANOTHER goose egg Friday night as they improve to 5-0. 1-0 in league play. They have out scored their opponents a total of 219 - 13 over the five game season, 6 of those 13pts come from a HMB offensive fumble scoop and score by the defense . Coach Von Almens defense has only given up 1 TD in 5 games. Next up for the Cougars will be homecoming vs Menlo.

With a 5-0 start HMB is off to their best start In 39 years!!!! If I'm correct it was The 1976 "Cardiac kids" that were the last team from HMB to get off to a 5-0 start. If they can get by Menlo Fri night this will be the best start HMB has ever had.

In the past Holden's system and Von Almens D schemes have not fit the personnel. Coastside kids can be baby's in the sense that they ALL go to school together from K to 12. In most sports they had not known what it is to be hit in the mouth by other teams, divisions and programs. Some kids were coddled since 9th grade and those kids thought they were the cat's meow. Really not the fault of the kids.

Now Keith has a complete recruiting class from when he took over from Ballard.
