This may not be popular but hey we all have opinions. But what are the big three doing with their Holiday and pre season scheduling.
Salesian: Being my son will most likely attend this school, I pull for them most, why with all the great national tournaments would they go play two teams in Hawaii at the grind session and win both games by a total of 67 points.
Riordan: Got to give Kudos to Riordan for taking on Torrey Pines. But when looking at that tourney, they are the highest national seed and nobody that they possibly will face in an open state title is in that tournament. You enter Gridley to have a tune up with Salesian, yet don’t measure against the best So Cal has to offer.
DLS: Ok you have Santa Margarita in the Chris Vontoure. And play Duncanville who is not off to the greatest start in the Hoophall. Yet the last 3 recent games you win by a combined 150 and some.
My personal opinion is when you have the horses and have the ranking, schedule the best. We say this about Folsom football all the time and how they have never stepped up to So Cal and in turn run thru their leagues.
Riordan and Salesian will easily run thru their leagues. DLS has San Ramon to contend with, but in my opinion shouldn’t be an issue. So they will all fight it out in the end and in turn not one played against any of the possible reps in the open such as Bosco, Rossevelt, Harvard Westlake and St Joseph. I want to see NorCal in the top 25 and we have two teams for sure who could have challenged themselves and may be in that discussion.
