Defense won this game, holding Christopher to many 3 & Outs, sacks and a late interception. The defense forced two consecutive Cougar drives to negative yardage.

This is the second outright championship in 108 seasons since 1893 for the Irish.

Does this mean they ended the season at .500?

That's true but after the CCS title anything else is icing on the cake. Beating SI in the Bruce-Mahoney game helps too.
We'll just have to win those too. Both would be firsts for Sacred Heart.

Pretty awesome season. Record isnt indicative how well they played all year. There were pretty much in every game except vs Serra and when things snowballed vs Riordan and St. Francis. Congrats to Coach McLaughlin and his staff. This one was sweet.

Total bananas to have SH freakin C in CIF state playoffs. On another note, basketball coach Ceasar Smith must use this time wisely to figure out what other guys can produce while his main players are still playing football. Scoring only 44 points in their first game is not the best start you want to begin your season.

I'll gladly take the total bananas.

Was John Lee, the General, allowed the hoist the trophy at mid field following the game? You know, kind of like how Eddie DeBartolo still hoists trophies for the San Francisco 49ers.
