JUCO Roundup: Delta, Sierra claim tournament titles

Delta College won its Jocelyn Mancebo Classic with wins over Feather River (100-45), Sequoias (68-65) and Moorpark (74-62). Alicia Jones, Donja Payne and Breeana Grigsby all averaged in double figures. Delta is the top ranked team in NorCal.

Sierra won the tournament at Mt. SAC with wins over Long Beach (69-61), Rio Hondo (60-41) and Mt. San Antonio (81-37). Christina Oliva averaged 13 points, four rebounds and two steals.

College of the Redwoods out of Eureka won the Mission College tournament this weekend too. They beat Hartnell 81-32, Mission College 72-69, and beat Napa Valley 56-54. They play Chabot in Hayward this Friday. Ashley Quigley averaged 22 points per game this weekend.
