A key to the Serra-St. Francis matchup could be which team finds the most success in the passing game. Serra’s Dominique Lampkin has completed 74 percent of his passes for 1,173 yards and 12 touchdowns against no interceptions. He has also rushed for eight touchdowns. St. Francis senior Josh Perry is at the helm for the Lancers and has thrown for six touchdowns and no interceptions in the last four games while completing 65 percent of his passes.

Serra 2022 offensive lineman Drew Azzopardi committed to San Diego State this past week. He joins teammate Hassan Mahasin as part of the Aztecs’ 2022 class.

American River (5-3) has won three in a row with wins over Shasta, Santa Rosa and Butte. Linebacker Donovan Laban (Grant) is tied for the team high with 56 tackles, including seven for a loss. American River will take on Sierra this weekend.
