Lincoln @ Stagg game called at Halftime

Sad ending to a fun rivalry game. Hate to see it.

Side note, really surprised with the outcome. I didn't think Stagg would get shutout.

I'm not surprised with the outcome. But, I am surprised about the incident, since the evening started off peaceful, with Stagg honoring Lincoln's coach Gray's brother who once played for Stagg. This incident also took place on Stagg's side with no involvement with nor directed towards Lincoln or their fans. Probably one guy found out another guy in the stands was cheating with his wife. Who knows? Anything can happen in a crowd in any stadium, in any city, not just Stockton. Like any city, there are good elements and there are bad elements. Stockton just happens to have more bad elements than other cities. But, no city is perfect, not even Folsom. Even Folsom's crime rate is above the national average. Sure, it is not near the crime rate of Stockton, and based on statistics, there is more of a chance that a crime will take place in Stockton. But, it really matters what side of the railroad tracks you live on or visit. Trust me please, not all of Stockton is bad. Alex G. Spanos, owner of the San Diego Chargers, and many other wealthy, affluent people live in Stockton. If they did not feel secure, I am sure they wouldn't be in Stockton. It is just unfortunate that there were a couple of bad elements at this game who messed it up for everyone else.

Back to football ... Lincoln has some good talent and as I shared in my TCAL analysis, I really think they have a chance this year to challenge St. Mary's for the league championship. Stagg is not the same team from a couple years ago. The SJAA league in whole is much weaker than the TCAL league posting a 0-10 record against TCAL teams last year. I don't expect the SJAA teams to do too much better against the TCAL teams they will face in pre-season games this year. But, it's still early. Plenty of football still to be played.

Folsom's crime rate is above the national average!? What are you smoking!? I need some.

Please post a link to this source you just referenced.

Folsom has almost ZERO crime, with any crimes being almost all minor property crimes.

To compare the two cities in that aspect is absolutely criminal.

So, I wanted to confirm this crime rate theory of yours. These are the stats. This is amazing that you actually said this..

Stockton, CA

Violent crime rate in 2013
Stockton: 660.6
U.S. Average: 203.3
Property crime rate in 2013
Stockton: 553.9
U.S. Average: 250.2

Folsom, CA
Violent crime rate in 2013
Folsom: 73.4
U.S. Average: 203.3
Property crime rate in 2013
Folsom: 153.9
U.S. Average: 250.2

So where is Folsom "above the national average." LOL

;);););););););););)

I was just shocked that bulldogmgc made a statement like that..

LOL who knows. I am still shocked that he actually thought that AND quoted crime rates!

Maybe his metric is crimals counting the prison and not crime rates :)

File:FolsomStatePrison.jpg
We know ;)

In regards to Stockton being the murder capital of CA...We know ;););););););)

I didn't write those crime statistics for Stockton.

Remember that. And make better decisions in your next life ☺☺☺☺☺☺

But, you are paying for that prison to be in Folsom, and so am I. Right?

If you are questioning my decision to live in Stockton, you must be also questioning why one of the richest men in this country lives at 1533 Lincoln Rd, Stockton, CA, the dead center of Stockton.

Maybe it has to with the last verse of that renown Johnny Cash song:

Hope you will be less "pretentious" in your next life, if that's even possible.

Lol, San Quentin is in Marin, some of the richest real estate in the world. Apparently, prisons bring in good real estate prices ☺

The simple fact that you would compare a place like Folsom (nearly zero crime) to Stockton (bankrupt city, murder capital), just shows how ignorant you are lol. Should have stayed in school.

I hope in your next life you learn to make better decisions.

Stay in Stockton, please. Owned. ☺☺

Wow, check out that link. Sounds like a place for a family! LOL

Once a "snob", always a "snob". Simply no hope. Guessing your mommy never taught you not to throw rocks inside a glass house?

If you can't digest the entire video, please fast forward to the 5:50 mark. The statement made is a dandy. You'll love it!

You just don't get it, do you? No city is "perfect", even though your pretentious self thinks you are living in a "perfect" place. You're NOT!

It's unfortunate that you fit the Folsom stereotype of being a "snob" and think you are better than everyone else, especially Stockton. May God have mercy on your soul!

LOL, that video is famous here! I am glad you posted that one. The low of the housing market. Some dude went up to a place that is now surrounded by mansions, and gave his two cents. He is probably from Stockton! LOL

Check that video out! Stockton had the worst foreclosure rate IN THE NATION :)

Affectionately being called the murder capital of CA, makes for a dangerous combination.

Just admit you have been owned. It could be worse, you could live in....Wait for it....Oh wait, you do live in Stockton! LMAO :):):):)

Here's a "snobby" stat for you.

Median household income in Stockton in 2013:
Stockton:
$42,114
State:
$60,190

Median family income in Folsom in 2013:
Folsom:
$102,210
State:
$60,190

As you stated, every town or city has it's problems. You just have a lot more :):)

Wow! G61, you finally have agreed with me ...

"As you stated, every town or city has it's problems. You just have a lot more" - G61

"Like any city, there are good elements and there are bad elements. Stockton just happens to have more bad elements than other cities." - bulldogmgc

Thank you for sharing the income levels of both cities, Mr. Obvious! But, like crime in some cities that never gets reported, surveys of incomes do not truly capture the true incomes of the city. Sure, the median is lower for Stockton because there are more low income people in Stockton than other cities, and that number is a lot, no doubt. Because, here's a secret you don't know ... Stockton is home to some of the wealthiest people, too. They just prefer to keep their wealth a secret and live in tucked away neighborhoods, like Atherton Cove and Morada, while some others can be found in the security guarded gated neighborhood of Brookside, not to be confused with the the other gated neighborhoods of Brookside (which aren't your low income folks, either). There are other well-to-do neighborhoods in Stockton, as well. We have very rich farmers, dairy owners, doctors, lawyers, and families with "old money". As shared, we have a billionaire living in Stockton, and his house is smack in the middle of Stockton. So, if Stockton is so bad, why do these people along with me, decide to still live in Stockton? Hint: everyone has their own "personal" reasons to live where they want to live, whether it be closer to family and friends or maybe just because they are comfortable where they are.

It's sad that Stockton does indeed have much crime and dealing with financial issues as a city. But just because the "city" has its problems, does not mean it's bad for everyone who lives in it. Yes, statistics are going to indicate there is indeed a higher risk that a resident of Stockton will be a victim to a crime. But, you have to wonder still why do all of these people, especially the handful of wealthy residents decide it's okay to live in Stockton. Why is it not bad for them? Instead, you are just too ignorant to understand. Oh well.

I am very much aware of Folsom hosting a ton of upper-middle income folks. My cousin lives in Folsom. He was subjected to walking away from one of his properties to having to move back into his original house in Folsom he was renting out. He, fortunately, does not fall into the "snob" stereotype of Folsom, and that's good for him. Unfortunately, you do, with your continuous berating of Stockton. And that's your problem, not mine. So, please continue being a "pompous" a-hole. You are doing a GREAT job of it! Obviously, your mother is very proud of you.

BTW, so other than Joseph Gamsky, aka Joe Hunt, of the Billionaire's Boys Club, who from Folsom is a billionaire? I couldn't find any here. I'm curious.

Back to football ... gotta love the quality of football Folsom is playing this year! Must suck wishing they did not implement the "Folsom Rule" last year, which avoided Folsom's chance at a third shot vs DLS. But, you can blame your coaches for being too damn scared to play DLS and get their butts kicked again. Who knows ... maybe they will get a shot this year. With DLS losing to a team out of Texas, you must be thinking this could be Folsom's year to beat DLS. Right?

I have to chim in on this because Stockton is the new Oakland. This is a classic case of gentrification. Stockton is only going to get worse while Oakland is seeing job growth, real estate appreciation, and a reduced crime. East Oakland and down the 880 still has its issues but West Oakland in general is very promising. Sad state of affairs in Stockton. I will leave it a that. Honestly they might have to have these games at Saturday around 2pm. Why have a a friday night game?

Larry,
You are so correct. This guy is so angry that someone told him the truth about Stockton, he spent about an hour going on a huge tirade about how Stockton is amazing, inside a city of bankruptcy, murder, and low-income housing. Unbelievable. It is NATIONALLY known as one of the murder capitals.

We choose to live in a place like Folsom because it is the exact opposite of Stockton. It is beautiful. There is no crime. The schools are amazing. It is safe. There is no crime. There is no crime. There is no crime. Go look at the median price of a home and get back to me. You have to "pay to stay" in good places to live. Places like Stockton are cheap for a reason. You are more likely to be murdered in Stockton, than ANYWHERE in CA. People are so on edge there, they practically fled a high school football game in mass because someone "supposedly" saw a gun. This is obviously a common occurrence. Don't attempt to belittle others because you mad bad mistakes and couldn't afford to live in a place like Folsom.

Enjoy Stockton :):):):)

As it pertains to Football, the 2014 State Championship rings are looking mighty tasty to go along with out 2010 ones. Nice banners at the school too.

"I'd much rather live among the snobs then be murdered on my way to the grocery store."-Unknown

Continue to generalize about the entire city of Stockton all you want. Just like Oakland, there are very nice areas to live in where crime is much less an issue. And yes, there are areas in Stockton which have turned into Oakland because some builders decided to build afforadable houses for troubled Oakland residents to be able to move to Stockton and in doing so brought the criminal element with them. Case in point, Weston Ranch, the south part of Stockton is not a place to be. Other areas like Brookside, Atherton Cove, and Morada are not so affordable and will remain as such to keep low income families, which tend to follow with the crime element, out. You and others just fail to comprehend. I guess you just don't understand because you don't live here to witness it all. Folks who do live here know where to go and where not to go, just like folks in Oakland do. People outside don't know where to go or not to go, so of course they assume the worse.

Yet, you might think by living in the city a person is sheltered from seeing the big picture, that Stockton is bad and a place to avoid at all costs. Not true, we watch the news and see the same issues. But, what you don't see is that there all people from within trying to turn things around after the invasion of Oakland. The recent reduction in police force did not help, but hopefully the new tax bill will. You on the outside can remain paranoid while those of us inside don't run away from issues but instead seek ways to help resolve them. There are a handful of us who can easily afford to move out of Stockton, but choose not to. And yet, you will never understand the reasons. Stay paranoid. Stockton doesn't want people who are cowards.

There are some nice areas in Stockton- pretty good restaurants as well. I sat in a table next to Alex Spanos Sr (San Diego Chargers owner) at one of his favorite restaurants in town a number of years back. University of the Pacific is a very good university and some pretty good teams in some sports (i.e., basketball). Just have to stay away from some areas on and near Hammer Lane at night. Down town was cleaned up and renovated. Like many towns/cities in CA, the great recession hit the area's economy hard and there is a gang problem. There are worst places in the state.

Curious, do those banners have the following footnote?

* Avoided playing DLS, the true state champion!

No worries.

I am just fine in my nice little City of Folsom :)

Cheers! And be careful at those Friday night games from now on. Wouldn't want to catch a stray bullet or anything ;)

2010, 2014 State Champs!

Do you have city banners hung up that say, "Murder capital of CA!"

Our banners generally signify pride and accomplishment. Very representative of the City of Folsom .

You have been owned...Stockton...LOL ;)

***By the way, nice name Bulldogmgc. I see you names yourself after our precious mascot, the Bulldog. You must be another fan of ours :)http://norcalpreps.forums.rivals.com/members/bulldogmgc.714/

Not sure why all the bashing of Stockton or Folsom. Both have pluses and minuses. There are also plenty of towns in the state that are nicer to live in and worst. I've watched a game as a visitor where some fans threw empty water bottles at the opposing team's cheerleaders and it wasn't either of those cities. Unfortunately, there is a certain element that comes to the games at times, and it ruins the event for both the teams and the fans. It is sad that this happens.

It really shouldn't have ever been discussed. Bulldogmgc was upset because people were stereotyping Stockton due to what happened at one of their football games this weekend.

Apparently, he has a bit of an inferiority complex, as seen in his posts.

Stereotypes suck, but they come from somewhere. Remember, where there is smoke, there is fire ;)

You will have to check with the mayor of Stockton, in regards to the city banners. I don't visit downtown too often. Please don't forget to include the words "pompous cowards" on your banners. There is so much pride and accomplishment there, too, and so represented by the City of Folsom. Gotta love the Folsom Rule!

By the way, when is your sentence up at Folsom Prison? I hear they gave you life for being a pompous a-hole. Then again, being a pompous a-hole, you like being those prisoners' BITCH! Don't you? BTW, you can be mine anytime! ;)

I think you have been owned enough here :)

Prison? You have a city full of prisoners walking the streets.

Stockton welcome sign off I-5 and 99- "Welcome to Stockton. The Murder Capital of CA."

:):):):):):):):):):):)

This guy prays for me on one post, then curses at me in another.

Looks like Stockton is "stocked" with some weirdos.

Remember, stereotypes come from somewhere ;)

Let's just hope you don't have any kids. One of you is plenty enough...even for Stockton :)

Even Folsom's crime rate is above the national average
Apparently someone didn't do his research before posting ;)

Apparently, someone was too "stupid" to see the link to Folsom Prison, Folsom's #1 real estate and revenue generator and housing of Folsom's most famous residents, courtesy of us state tax payers. But, NorCalSportsFan figured it out. NorCalSportsFan is one smart high school football fan! Not like G61 ... dee dee dee! Still waiting to here who is Folsom's billionaire.

You still don't get it, do you? I have tried to educate you that cities will have a mix. Some mixes are weighed more than others, whether it be crime or stuck-up, close minded, pompous a-holes, like yourself. Hint: Stockton has their own share, too, just not as many as Folsom. But, you fail to learn because you can't learn. I get it. Your IQ is just not there. That's okay. Just put your cone hat on your head and get back on the bus. Prison break time is over!
