Where did I ever say "
that Folsom is "full of gated communities."? Stop making up stuff, Richard! It does not reflect well, especially when you were called out. Let me help spell it out for you again ...
YOU said
"The main communities, and nicest in my opinion, are Briggs Ranch, Empire Ranch, Lexington Hills, and Los Cerros. None of those are gated. Gated communities are rare in Folsom for many positive reasons." I even helped by
bolding these words for you. And you still can't comprehend! Pitiful!
I called you out as being an
IDIOT in your statement, when indeed
Empire Ranch does have a gated neighborhood. I provided you proof! And you still pretend to live there. LOL!
I even referenced a property in Stockton that is right up there in $ value with a "gated" property of Empire Ranch of Folsom. But, you failed to recognize that, as well.
Indeed, your Folsom housing is NOT affordable for most of Stockton citizens, because there are indeed many low income folks in Stockton, no doubt. But, Folsom is very affordable for those of "us" Stocktonians who do reside in the affluent parts of Stockton. In fact, like my cousin who lives in Folsom, both he and his wife "and" me and my wife make enough money to afford a 750K house and "also" send our kids to private school (my cousin's kids went to Jesuit and Christian Brothers, while our kids went to St. Mary's). Sure, both of us could have sent our kids to public school, but if we can afford to provide them a better education, why not. In 11 days, I will be helping my youngest son move into Cal Poly where will be majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I think my decision to live in Stockton and send my sons to St. Mary's paid off.
Meanwhile, your kids (if you have any) will probably be cleaning the toilets at Folsom's State Prison and visiting you during visiting hours. Great to keep the family together!
Dallas Braden's grandmother lives in an apartment??? There are no apartments in the affluent areas of Stockton. He is a Stagg High alum, and was probably living with his grandma to help her out and save some money, knowing his career as a ball player wasn't going to last that long. Very humble young man. Sad, he was victimized. As much money he may have made playing for the A's, you would think he would move his grandmother out of her apartment. But, maybe she did not want to move? Sure, he had an outburst. But, despite the moment captured on video, the kid still comes out to Stockton and still helps the needy. On Thanksgiving, he personally collects and distributes food for the needy. UOP even gave Braden an Annual Community Service Award. Good kid! He is not a coward! He is upset as many of us Stocktonians are that we do not have enough police due to poor city budget issues. But, we are all confident it will be corrected and things will turn around. Like I have always said, there is indeed crime in Stockton, but there are also some safe areas, too. Like any city, there will be good parts and bad parts.
Keep posting the huge difference in income and crime between Stockton and Folsom. But, stop being an IDIOT and recognize that I am "correct" in stating that Stockton is not "all" low income and not "all" high crime. Stockton does have some safe areas and does have some well to do income, too. Need more proof? Below is a link to a heat map that reflects crime activity for both cities:
Stockton, CA, crime heat map
Folsom, CA, crime heat map
Notice "both" have plenty of GREEN areas. BTW, I live in a GREEN area. Already provided proof of well to do areas in Stockton. Already shared we have a billionaire who "still" lives in Stockton. I think I have said enough. If I can't get you to digest this, then that's your problem, not mine.
How about talking about some football? When is Folsom going to schedule a game with St. Mary's? Or as someone else posted, when is Folsom going to go out of state to play football? St. Mary's hasn't done this yet, but understand there has been some discussion. It is very well known that our girl's basketball team travels outside the state each and every year. Hoping our football team will do the same, even though it's not relatively as good as our girls basketball team. I heard Folsom has a pretty good boys basketball team. Do they travel outside the state?
