unfortunately, if there is a free lunch, it won't include video. maxpreps doesn't seem to have much luck getting real-time scoring. last year, I think I was able to find a (near) real-time blog on the CCTimes website, high school sports section, other local papers may carry same (Stockton for Open, Sac for DI). good thing young uns' ignore research re poor results for multi-tasking. so, I'd like to add request for source for real-time scoring or blog.
another thought--in 2002 and 2005, a video production company was taping and offering for sale on site videos of the games. they were not accessible through cif--probably had an independent contract, possibly event-specific, w Arco (now Sleep Train) Pavilion. if anybody attends, finds such videos for sale on site, can you find out and post their web site here? in case your team pulls a monumental upset and you want a memento. NO!!!!! I DON'T HAVE ANY PARTICULAR TEAM IN MIND!!!!!!!!!!
finally, too bad CIF hasn't got a deal w nfhs network. I'm puzzled because the Sections all seemed to have such a setup...
