Love to see helmet technology advance but $1500 each?

Wow...helmet improvements continue to amaze. Big price tag, I guess an argument could be made you can't put a price tag limit on your player or son's safety. For my frosh REC/DB son past season, went with a new '15 purch. helmet that gave him great protection and comfort thru a long season with some big hits. It was Schutt Vengeance VTD II. Was top rated helmet in VA Tech ratings study. For sure, ALOT better than std issue frosh gear, and he was coming off a bad Aug concussion from prior 8th grade season.
Bella123.......Wearing one of these helmets must have been like having a C clamp attached to your head with no face mask...If you look at some of the old sports photo's, a number of guys were minus their front teeth and nasty heeled cuts to their lips.....Thank god those days are gone....What's wrong with old school? Worked great for several generations
