Nice feature on the Serra offensive line, and other All Bay Area selections, in the Mercury News. Really cool that David Bakhtiari came by to work with the Serra players. Love seeing detailed preseason coverage in the paper.

The article was certainly nice. But referring to Christie's diner as a "greasy spoon" was a bit unfair. The menu and food there are definitely a grade or two above that unfortunate label. No wonder Bakhtiari eats at the downtown Burlingame establishment when he's back in town. By the way, may I strongly recommend the Joe's Special. Yummy.

I’m more of a Nini’s fan when it comes to breakfast in Burlingame. But can’t go wrong with Christie’s, Stacks, Crepevine or Alana’s if you’re on the “Avenue.”
