First off I have to believe that winning is the goal of every high school program. In my opinion if a STUDENT athlete wants to go to a high school to play football at the highest level then he should do so as a freshman. But let’s face it MD only wants these transfers once they can help them win football games. Because most of them aren’t model students. I think it’s sad personally. To each their own.

you are completely off... you do not get to division 1 football without being a student... go hang at the local jc game for confirmation. MD will take them whenever they come, however most parents cant get the funds to send them all four years or the funds arent there for all four years from whomever. it is you and them as parents to put your child in the best place to succeed. numbers dont lie and MD obviously has the numbers. As do de la salle, folsom, bosco, lutheran and so on

I’m sorry but I completely disagree with you. When I coached high school football (last year was 2014) you needed a 2.5gpa to be eligible for a d1 scholarship. 2.5 gpa is NOT at all a student. I read somewhere that MD graduates around 72% to four year college. That would be great for a public school. NOT at all good for a private. If your paying that much for private schooling and your kid doesn’t go to college then what are you paying for? Now none of this really matters to me. And in my opinion this is all DLS fault. Because they weren’t taking this many transfers before DLS kicked the sh.. out of them 8 out of 10 times at state. and at that time the south put I believe 5 different teams in 5 years. the numbers don’t lie. Without transfers MD 0-3 with transfers MD 3-0.
As far as getting funds together to send their kid to MD. You believe what you want but they are NOT paying.
