Open - Salesian 58-55 over DLS. Salesian too deep DLS perimeter shooting is suspect. Great game upcoming

D1 DV over Redwood 72-65. Stokes is player of the game.

D2 - Moreau over CN 62-56. Good coaches on both sides. MC athletes too much for CN

D3 - Branson over SD 59-49. NJ Gray too much along with his classmate/sophomore duo of Robertson & French. Open run nxt year.

D4 - SPSV over Piedmont 62-57. SPSV on a run and keeps it rolling.

D5 - Alhambra over International 68-56. Real D3 vs D5 too much for a good International team.

D6 - who cares they can’t even play for a state title.

Let’s talk about D4…..

SPSV should not be in D4……that was ridiculous. Used to be a team that would be borderline Open team and now they are smoking the lower seeds in D4 because they are far superior. But also 15-14 Piedmont goes 2-8 in league and gets a 1 seed?

D2 and D3

Why did Lick and Urban get put in D2 and San Domenico got the 2 seed in D3? Urban split but Lick lost to them twice and got seeded higher? Hello….what? Cornerstone Christian goes from D6 to D3? Excuse me. You couldn’t put them in D4 as a higher seed and give them a shot after having a great season?

In SoCal a really good La Mirada team is not advancing to CIF, because they were placed in the impossible Open.

Finally I think most egregious….how did Moreau Catholic a top 45 team in CA who went 24-5 and undefeated in league gets a 1 seed in D2? Excuse me! Meanwhile Campo is 3 seed in D1 and ranked 135? Redwood and Moreau Catholic are essentially equal, one got 2 seed in D1 other got 1 seed in D2

@ayalar09 you clearly have missed all the posts on how maxpreps rankings were everything and teams could only go up 2 divisions max ala Moreau in D2 since they are D4 by enrollment. Cornerstone petitioned to be D5 btw. Good regular season put them in D3.

I would go the same way as your picks and agree that the top three games should all be pretty competitive.
