I here you but I’m not making the Public against private argument. There’s just no way DLS starts paying more money to travel to San Mateo and San Jose the entire school year for athletics. I didn’t like that proposal when Liberty went to the NCS with that after last season. Not because it sounded like sour grapes, but because the East Bay privates don’t want to play DLS and neither does the CCS privates. And it’s better to attract players to dls when they get to pound on NCS D1’s because that is their competition for players.
DLS Tried to Join the WCAL For Football only but they wanted them to do it for all Sports which just doesn't make sense for all the other sports with the travel...
DLS Does Try to Schedule Top CCS teams every year as well as teams for other sections, regions and OOS... They are in the Toughest league in the NCS and they can only play in the Playoffs in front of them...
It's the way Nor Cal is set up that is the Problem... If the NCS and SJS operated their playoffs as one Giant Section, this wouldn't be a discussion because over all the years there is bound to have been a team that could take down the Spartans...
Or, Just create a Real Open Division between the NCS, CCS, and SJS... Pick 8 Teams from the 3 Sections and the winner goes to the Open... That would be an Awesome Playoff!
This Year would look like DLS, Folsom, PITT, Liberty, VC, Serra, Oak Ridge and lets say MT for the 8 Teams.. Now that would be Fun!!!
