The College Park vs Benicia Game was a bad loss for Benicia….

Benicia was up 2-1 in the top of the 7th, CP had runners on 1st and 2nd and Benicia botched a double play where the second baseman missed the bag and the runner on second kept going and ended up scoring the tying run!….

In the top of the 8th Benicia fell apart with walks, hit batters and errors and CP put up 8 runs!…. CP has all but wrapped up the league Title as long as they don’t get swept by Acalanes!….

Granada wins 5-1 for their 2nd consecutive EBAL championship.

Bartosh threw for DLS, and gave up all 5 runs. Kennedy threw for Granada and limited the Spartans to just 4 hits. Blair hit a double in the 6th to account for their only run.

Granada has some serious ownage over DLS right now, that’s got to be like 4 straight wins or something over the Spartans!…..

There is definitely a drop off in pitching for DLS after their #1 guy…. They have some good young arms but no one dominating yet…. Their offense is great and will have to carry them through the playoffs….

That’s actually 6 straight wins now for Granada over DLS. Both wins so far this season, all 3 last season and their final meeting in 2023. The last DLS win in that series was their 1st meeting in 2023, a 2-1 Spartan victory at DLS. There can’t be many teams that have beaten DLS 6 times in a row, in any sport.

I saw where College Park swept Acalanes to claim the Diablo-Foothill League title. That’s a great league with Campo, CVC, Benicia & Alhambra. All are over .500 for the season.

Alhambra might have the best player in the league in Cameron Millar. He’s 7-1 with a 0.11 ERA. The NCS pairings come out this weekend. Nobody wants to face him in the first round.
