#1 Antelope
#2 O Dowd
#3 Oak Ridge
#4 Miramonte
#5 Heritage
#6 Menlo
#7 SHC
#8 Laguna
#9 San Leandro
#10 McClatchy
#11 SRV
#12 Valley Christian
#13 Saint Ignatius
#14 American

Carondelet is not in the Norcal field. The committee will match up teams in the first round from seperate sections so I accounted for that as well. 3 plays 14 4 plays 13 5 plays 12 etc

Oakland Tech beat SI, San Leandro , and antelope. Kind of hard not to have them in the discussion for D1.

I’m guessing Antelope is Open. Two loses by 5pts and a 7pt loss to CN plus many double digit wins = ticket to Open.

1. BOD
2. Miramontes
3. Menlo
4. Oak Ridge
5. Heritage
6. SRV
7. OTech
8. McClatchy
9. SHC
10. San Leandro
11. SI
12. Granite Bay
13. American
14. Alameda

C-let is not eligible for NorCal this year, regardless of how good their coach is.

I think Oak Ridge will be ahead of Miramonte and Menlo. Close loss to SMS and MaxPreps' ranking move them up.

Big question is whether Open has eight, which would remove, presumably, O'Dowd and Salesian from D-1.

SJS does seem to push for its teams so it’s tricky day where Oak Ridge ends up. What are their quality wins? I saw some ugly games in the SFL this year so nothing impressive there. However Oak Ridge is the program that impresses me most out of the Sac area year in and year out. So I hope they do well but don’t think this is their year.

I find it almost laughable that the CIF would use MaxPreps's rankings for seeding purposes. There are significant inherent limitations in their ELO algorithm.

Especially when teams were some specifically told not to use MaxPreps anymore and to focus on reporting everything to Scorebook Live.

Saint Joseph ND is like the 12th ranked NCS team according to Max preps...

I think it is possible for 5 teams from NCS to go open based on their quality wins, especially key cross section wins
