You keep playing as long as you can, regardless of level. One day you will wake up and not be able to compete anymore. What's the point of playing NAIA?
Most players would be better off long term focusing on school.

most at the naia level already knows the ball going flat at the elite level in 4 years.. ask all them kids who are students now and played hoop their whole if they would do anything to leave intramurals and get on the team. What's the point of playing NAIA?

No, they're Athletic scholarships. The players have to qualify academically, though.are they only available to athletes? or are they academic that then play athletics.
Why not do both if you can. Athletics can help with school by keeping you on a tight schedule. People like to be part of a team and compete. Nothing wrong with that.
Quite a few of the Cali NAIA schools are highly rated academic institutions. I'd rather go that route than say a D2 school that doesn't offer the same level of education. Any rate, any player that gets the opportunity to play at the next level (D1,2,3, NAIA, JC) should be proud. Getting an education, especially at a reduced price, while playing ball is an experience that should not be taken for granted. How many kids that love the game of basketball have to "hang it up" following their last high school contest.......…..
