Serra took it to VC 17-0 shut out. VC offense is like watching paint dry. Their HC needs to make changes when facing a team for the third time. Serra looked like they improved on defense and QB made good decisions.
You probably saw VC change its offense setup in the 3rd quarter but it was so clear they didnt know what to do with it. It's like it was schemed but hadn't practiced it.
I wish Serra and Oak Ridge could play each other. They are very similar teams.
Unfortunately fit will be a 2-3 TD margin and I’m doubtful it will ever be a game.
We in our little community of Auburn are blessed to have the representation we get yr in and yr out by our lil strawchewers and their fabulous coaching staff led by Coach’s Joey Montoya and Eric Rodarte.....And we THANK THEM ALL!All good things do come to an end and in last night’s final game of the 2019 season in the CIF SJS Div3 Championship game the lil strawchewers in the 3rd qtr just couldn’t keep it going!Instead of a 1st and goal at the 4 going INTO that strong wind and down 19-14 they had a penalty to negate that run and now faced a 3rd and several yds that led to a very unfortunate 80 or 85 yd PIC 6......game,set and match!They were able to over come that same WIND debacle in 2nd qtr after falling behind 13-0 and took a 14-13 lead into halftime.I felt they needed to stay within a score in the 3rd qtr as they faced the wind but that changed with the penalty and ultimate dagger to the heart!
So rather than keep flapping my Hillmen chops on how the strawchewers could have maybe continued their season,a season in which they grew tremendously on both sides of the ball with the talent they had after losing so much to graduation from a yr ago I am just going to say....CONGRATULATIONS PLACER HILLMEN on yet another fabulous,hard fought,successful campaign,BRAVO to you!
To the Manteca Buffalo’s a huge CONGRATULATIONS to you on a fabulous season and we will all be supporting you in your quest for a Nor Cal and possible State Championship....BRAVO to you MANTECA...BRAVO!Very well deserved!
