Holy crap! Just as my son and I were leaving nearly going out the Edison gates, someone decides to pull out a gun and fire off 5-6 shots. WTF! We started running! We made it out running towards the Lincoln side. As we were running we see the players running leaving the field. Everyone is running and trying to get out safe. We made it out. Got to our car parked on the street outside the visitor parking lot and on our way home.

Unsure what is going to happen with the game. It was 35-21 when we left.

Got to our car parked on the street outside the visitor parking lot and on our way home.

Thanks! The gunfire was just outside Edison gates. My son and are suspecting it may have been by a young man that was escorted out of the stadium for a fight that took place in the Edison stands, but that’s a total guess. We must have been less than 50 yards away from the gunfire. At age 58, my heart was beating pretty hard as we were running to get out.

Home watching the news to learn of the outcome of this game. Did they clear the stadium and continue play? Did they suspend play to continue tomorrow? Just praying no one got hurt. Scary stuff! Indeed there was some good football being played. Very sad that someone had to go ruin it. ☹️

Lincoln plays in D3 FVL,they are a D2 by enrollment.
