Mitty going to beat everyone in Wcal by 30 plus.
Presentation also didn't have Ava Williams tonite.

This leagues a little tougher than that. Same thing was said last year and St.Francis almost beat Mitty by playing zone. Don't be surprised if a few games are closer than 30

Unless Jones or Ortiz or Blakes go down with sickness or injury they won't lose to anyone in norcal other than SMS. Or a pinewood team that hits 20 threes maybe.

cityboy, what's the diagnosis of shc this year? I have yet to see the varsity play this year. Too much to fill after losing IT? (Which is totally reasonable, that is a huge void for any team) Or is it a young team that needs a year? Is the talent level just taking a dip? What are your thoughts?
You sound like you on the bandwagon so I get it. They won't win it all or go undefeated. Just the same as everyone thought they would win it all 2 years ago and Minyon Moore went into their gym gave them a 40 spot and put them out. St.Francis lost by 6 last year and had the game won but the refs made some controversial calls. They are a good team but not unbeatable.
We all know what bandwagon you are on, and I asked you your thoughts on them. You can dish out the negative, but give us some thoughts on a team you know better than most of us here.

No one is unbeatable and of course Mitty could lose a game. They came out flat and uninspired against St. Joe's and were only up single digits going into the 4th. Not knocking St. Joe's, but Mitty rattled off 30 pts in that 4th quarter when they finally felt like playing. They beat a real good Folsom team with 2 Pac 12 players by 49 pts. They knocked off Riverdale, St. Johns, and SMS in a 3 day span and that was with either Jones or Ortiz in foul trouble.
I'm not saying they can't lose because upsets happen all the time in sports. This Mitty team seems like they are on a mission and they are led by 2 high major D1 kids that are both do it all kids. There is no team in the WCAL that will just lay down for them, so they will have to show up and play or yes they will get beat. It's going to take a team to shoot a high FG percentage and be able to really defensive rebound and make basketball plays for 4 quarters. Sac Hi outscored them in the 2nd half and only lost by 9, but looks like Blakes didn't play that game. But look how they treated teams after that game. No mercy.
If Mitty plays its A game, it will not lose ... the B game will suffice 99% of the time.
Against most teams, in fact, the C game is good enough, but a C game combined with an A++ game from another team could result in an upset.
Of course, the anticipated NorCal Open final against SMS would be a different story.

not really like to overlook anyone, but the potential Open matchup of Mitty vs St Marys could be really good. assuming both stay healthy and on course it will be interesting given it will be the second time they will have played each other. The distinct advantage for Mitty is the core players have played together for nearly 3-4 years in the same system year around. I know SMS has similarities. SMS will have the remainder of their season to jell ass well. It will be a fun one to watch.
once again, no disrespect to future upcoming opponents and upsets can and do happen. It just appears these teams are on a path to meet again. That being said Pinewood has the personnel to get hot from behind the arc and make it a very interesting game if they play either of these teams.
The one thing that has to be taken into consideration is that Mitty is who they are. They have already reached their ceiling. If other teams with new personnel are able to get better there is a chance they can lose. Are they a good team, YES. Can they be beat, YES! We hear the same thing about Mitty every year. They are on a mission, they can't be beat ETC ETC...Yet they still haven't won the OPEN.
I think you're still upset because Mitty has beat SHC the last five times by 20+ points. Mitty won the Norcal Open last year.
Upset over high school girls basketball? You sound silly. Mitty did win the OPEN nor cal but not the OPEN state championship. In recent history (the last 5 years Mitty has just as many state championships as SHC) so why would I be mad? If you really want to go there SHC has 3 state championships in a row and a national championship as well. I have no reason to be mad about a high school basketball team lmao. Mitty has a great program and Sue is a great coach. Sorry I'm not one to count any of the other high schools and coaches out by assuming Mitty is going to run through every team by 30. Especially when history speaks otherwise

Well said. I can tell ur not upset about girls basketball, but you sure as hell have quite a bit of SHC and Mitty historical knowledge on wins and losses.
I actually have a lot of knowledge about Northern California girls and boys basketball in general. Coming from a family that has played in the WCAL and had some success I do keep myself in the loop
