According to Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, wide receiver Matthew Quesada is now at Pittsburg.
He was Freedom's leading receiver as a junior.

I know that only private schools recruit and get transfers but it looks like Pittsburg is winning the transfer wars after beating Liberty twice last year. First, Brickhandler and now Quesada.According to Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, wide receiver Matthew Quesada is now at Pittsburg.

Historically the NCS under Lemmon has been 3 games with 1-2 more if they feel you have been recruited. What is the current status of transfer sit-outs? If Quesada’s family doesn’t move, will there be a sit out period?

That was pretty standard. He was strict on transfers and his definition of recruiting was all encompassing. For instance, if a coach had any relationship with a player prior to high school and he ended up transferring to that coach's school he would consider that recruiting. If a player wanted to transfer after being kicked out of a school or not considered "in good standing" it would be a full year.Lemmon was a tool who seemed more power hungry than anything. He never really seemed to give two shits about anything other than imposing penalties on kids. That said it was never 3 games that I’m aware of under him, I always heard 5 or half a season. And if he thought recruiting had happened or solely for athletic reasons it was a year ban.

I seem to remember the Quesada name on a Pitt roster quite a while back, but I could be wrong. May just be coincidenceAccording to Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, wide receiver Matthew Quesada is now at Pittsburg.

Quesada’s dad played at Pittsburg and was on the last team that De La Salle. I don’t know f he has to wait to play. But I did hear the quarterback from Rocklin is clearedI seem to remember the Quesada name on a Pitt roster quite a while back, but I could be wrong. May just be coincidence
I made a post about this on one of the other threads about the 2020 season.Wow Pitt loading up for a run at the green machine. 2 of Freedoms best players, a QB from Rocklin, a Wr from Liberty. Seems like the BVAL transfer machine has rotated. Paloma is usually in tune with all the BVAL talk. Any insight on how this all shakes out with NCS?
Any idea where the new transfers from Liberty, Freedom and Clayton are coming from?I made a post about this on one of the other threads about the 2020 season.
Summary, Pittsburg will be heavy favorites for sure. Liberty did get a couple of transfers as well. And they have a big time defensive end in Calhoun and a top flight young quarterback. So I am sure that game will be competitive for a third year in a row.
Heritage may surprise some folks with the new head coach and the le Freedom staff fully on board now. Pittsburg usually does best when they are underestimated, so it will be interesting to see how they do as front runners. 2018 didn’t go so well with the injury bug destroying the quarterback and some top linemen. Freedom actually got a couple of studs transfer in, as did Clayton. So NCS playoffs will be good!

Encinal. They had at least three guys transfer. One to each of those schoolsAny idea where the new transfers from Liberty, Freedom and Clayton are coming from?
Not sad or happy at all. When someone hears it directly form Encinal parents, it’s hard to categorize as rumors. The Bay Area is one big community with people having friends and family living across it. Also, just because minds were changed doesn’t mean it was or was not true. Glad the kids stayed at Encinal. But 1 out of 3 is a pretty good average in baseball. Hahaha. And relax with the “kids work hard”. No one insinuated kids leaving means the program doesn’t work hard. Even De La Salle, the hardest working program on earth according to some people on these threads, has kids transfer from their program every year. Same can be said for every school. Don’t be like the Liberty “fans” who forget that some of their best players have been transfers the past three years, then complain about other teams getting transfers. (Let me guess, “Butterfield and Zdroik weren’t transfers!”).Aloha-first time poster. I was made aware of this thread from a family member in the Pittsburg community, and wanted to address some false rumors. I am a parent of a returning player at Encinal High School and think it’s important that false rumors of our beloved program on the island be defended. We HAVE NOT had 3 kids transfer from the Nailhouse. We have had one student athlete transfer out for reasons out of his control, and he is currently working on a way to return as it would be a Sit Out if he stayed. I think the person who stated these rumors should come with some facts before speaking on our program. It’s sad when adults speculate on what these programs and coaches are doing during these times. I know how hard the players and coaches work In our program specifically, and to be shown a discussion started by someone obviously affiliated with another program, is discouraging.
