Prayers and Good Thoughts for Joe Mixon

Btw, it seems like we've all continued to give you second chances.
And I've done the same for you in return. With that being said, you don't have to thank me. I did it out of kindness from the bottom of my heart. Have a good day.

You seem kinda angry, btw, everything is real. Do you really address family members, your children, wife, your siblings or parents by the n word? I think that kind of openness is refreshing, son.

Who uses derogatory words/terms to address family and friends? Got to be a real mental midget to think that's ok. I mean when was the last time anybody referred to their mother as that bitch over there, or their buddies as my ******s. It's disrespectful period and thinking it isn't is ignorant. And no dropping the "ER" and adding the "A" doesn't change the meaning. What it does do is show utter ignorance by those doing so and thinking it changes anything.

That's your problem...you don't believe in giving a person a second chance because you've lived your life mistake free. You never did anything in your entire life that would call for a second chance. So since you're on the level of the all mighty God you should excuse yourself from the debate in play. Ray Rice gave a sincere apology for his actions in regards to his physical actions toward his wife. She's forgiven him and so should you and the rest of the world but perfect people like yourself can't allow folks like Rice a second chance in life. Do us all a favor and put yourself in Rice's shoes and say you don't deserve a second chance to show that you've learned from your mistake Mr. Perfect.

Lol, who said anything about not forgiving Ray or Mixon? I think most have a problem with the fact your trying to justify Mixons actions by assigning all the blame on the women. That's just plain childish and ignorant. Again there is no excuse for decking this women in this particular incident period.

No, I'm just real. Most people can't deal with the real when it slaps them in the face. They'd rather put blame on a certain person but quick to hide or better yet give excuses for the one person that created the whole fiasco in the first place. I'm not the one to over look the beginning of things and that's what you have a major problem with. I'm that outspoken "house brother" that ain't 100% sympathetic to a drunk chick that provoked her own unfortunate situation.

Did Mixon go to far, perhaps but since there is no audio we'll never know what she said that made him so upset, so quickly. I personally believe Mixon didn't go to that eatery to hit a girl he didn't know before the incident. She obviously said some words that pissed him off and then she physically assaulted him. You need to remember or know what type of person you may be dealing with here. This chick is from Texass not California or NY. The state of Texass has never been friendly to blacks so I'm not surprised by her actions to be quite honest. I don't know how anyone can defend this chicks actions but if that was a women of a different complexion I would bet it wouldn't be important to those defending this chicks actions. As a matter of fact, I would bet that folks like you would say she brought that on herself. In which I would totally agree with you.

Let me tell you something, I've been on social media sites and it ain't pretty what a lot of folks say about a certain group of people even when they were done wrong for no reason. For instant, the church goers that were senselessly gun down by the Dylann Roof kid in South Carolina. I went on a social media site to pay respect to those family members of the deceased. It was so many negative post talking about they deserved what they got I had to leave the site before I put a bullet in my monitor. This is the stuff that certain groups of people have to deal with on a daily so I don't wanna hear about being sympathetic to a drunk chick that provoked her situation.

*Now speaking of Texass. That fool Harvey that plays for the cowboys that beat his girlfriend up. He should be behind bars for a long time. What he did was down right ridiculous and I have a major problem with the way the system has handled his actions. But that girl I believe belong to a different group then the drunk chick. I'll sit that right there for now.

*Also when I visited the Sandy Hook site I didn't see no negative post just encouragement from all people that were posting and wishing those affected by that senseless tragedy well.

Dude you have some real race issues. You actually think this is about race? Let me help you out here. It's not, it's about a man beating a women. Does the women have some blame here? Absolutely. Nobody has said she is guilt free here, at the same time nobody but you is defending Mixons actions. I think that says more about you than us. Nobody but you has dragged race or color into this so if anybody here is a racist it would be you. I wouldn't care if Mixon was white, black, or f***ing purple his actions were disgusting period. Acting as if he was justified in what he did is just as disgusting, and no it's not keeping it "real" it's just showing "real" ignorance.

Why you always lying??? I never blamed all the action on the crackhead. My bad I mean the drunk chick. Where in my post I put all the blame on the drunk chick??? I'm waiting...........

Well buddy you know where I stand on this so no need to keep banging your hard head against the wall. Have a great day sir and stay away from sharp objects...

In justifying the actions of Mixon you are assigning the guilt to the women. i mean it's not hard to figure that out is it?

Here you go son, What's up my "Nigga". Keeping it real son.

Interesting. You claim ownership of friends? If you addressed me like that rest assured you would be corrected the first time. Second it would be on so we wouldn't have to worry about a third time.

No slow one, I'm assigning guilt or blame to both the drunk chick and Mixon whereas you want to blame the brotha for everything. I'm not having it and that's why you're turning redder than a tomato. And like I said, you cannot find a post where I blamed just this drunk girl for this senseless altercation. That's why you came up with this lame ass excuse instead of facts you chronic liar. Here's the history of my post liar. Tell us where I said the drunk chick was only at fault. Will be waiting for ya.

Don't agree with Mixon smacking the girl in her face but I'm sure she won't ever spit in someone else's face or call them the "N" word. Both parties were at fault and learned a very valuable lesson.

Like I said, both parties were at fault but hopefully they'll both learn from their childish mistakes. I'm quite sure Mixon has learned his lesson but not sure about the girl with a troubling past. And that dumb reporter doesn't no what Mixon has learned. If you believe that guy you are a very shallow minded person. Joe told them right. He is only there to answer football questions. Screw the media all they want is a "gotcha" moment so they can make money and ruin another persons life.

IP, can you post the video of this encounter that you saw? I haven't seen a video of the whole incident. Didn't say he was fearful of a "drunk chick" and I said they both have blame here not just Mixon. There's reports that support my opinion on that. I don't know and don't care if Mixon is a punk, pussy or just simply gay but I know he's a stud on the gridiron. I know who I am and I'm not a drunk looking for sympathy after I start shit with someone I don't know. This chick was filthy drunk. All jokes aside I'm happy the chick is still breathing for her relatives sake. She's a very lucky drunk because like I said before, there are dudes out there that would have taken her life for what she did to Mr. Mixon. I know you want to call me a punk. Go ahead I've been called worse things than that face to face with peeps I didn't know. "Bitch ass "N" comes to mind." So calling me a border line punk doesn't faze me bruh. You have to come a lot harder than that bruh because I'm numb to the street slango. It's been water downed since the 80's. Same ole diss words since the 60's. I was born in the 60's so you get my drift?

You grown when you are smart enough to out live your expectancy date. Put it like this...most of the homies I grew up with or either died or in prison. I'm blessed not to be neither. Just being honest. Never said punching a female is acceptable but I did say the drunk girl and Mixon both share some blame on their altercation. Mixon one year suspension by Oklahoma was standard protocol. Tells me that the University supported Mixon if he's still in Norman. I call a spade a spade bruh. Yes I'm calling her a drunk because that's the facts which tells me she's just as bad as a crackhead. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck than it must be a duck. Well I just recently moved to the area of Georgia called Buckhead across from the famous Lenox Mall. Look it up (30625). That's a piece of who I am.

C'mon IP, do you really think Mixon would walk over to a drunk person he didn't know if they didn't slur a derogatory word his way? I know you smarter than this. Look I've been around a lot of folks that say things when there drunk that they wouldn't say if they were sober. One of the many off the wall things I've heard was the "N" word by someone I thought was cool but found out who they truly are instead.
Now that I've cleared that up maybe you'll take this "L" and run off somewhere to lick your wounds to fight another day. You just got owned and this debate is over.

Interesting. You claim ownership of friends? If you addressed me like that rest assured you would be corrected the first time. Second it would be on so we wouldn't have to worry about a third time.
Alright tough guy, take your "L" and keep it moving. No one is afraid of your key board bravado. Use those lines on your kids or friends if you have any. I'm too old to be concerned about a moron like you spewing childish tough talk on a message board. You ain't about that life.

That's not the n word in question, nor the tone purportedly said to mixon. Plus you did not say how you used it in a familial sense or in a platonic relationship. You failed Cali, you are an embarrassment to us all. Georgia is a good place for you. You have nothing to offer but name calling, which is what children do. You lie, anyone who rereads your posts can see it. You remember yourself greater as a player than you really were and brag about what you could have done but never really did anything. Dls would have won if you were playing wideout or on defense. That's what you believe, when you probably don't know what it takes to start at wr at dls. You would have made all the tackles and saved the game. Talk about keyboard bravado. The truly sad part: you truly believe you're great at something you have never done. Show us evidence of your greatness: newspaper, video, whatever. You're always right and have something to teach us. Give us tangible evidence so we know we're wrong on everything and you are the only voice that should be heard, sonny.

Like I said in the earlier post, I'm done debating this thread. You know where I stand on this issue and I see know need to continue talking about this like some simpleton. Now if you want to discuss or debate anything related to football moving forward I'll oblige you. Anything other than that you can debate yourself. My time is too valuable at the moment. I have to make a bid on a load and dispatch "my" truck (from Texass to New Jersey) I holla....

In life and in court that answer like many of your posts is non-responsive. But you speak volumes. Thanks for affirming everything in my post.

My father use to tell me, son you have too much time on your hands. Maybe he was right. Who knows.

I'm sure he did. Btw, now everyone else knows that all in my previous post is true as well. Checkmate and all I had to do was let you talk.

Mixon is getting a second chance. Hes lucky. Cant say the same for Ray Rice that was my point. If the video is ever released it would be a shame for people allow him to play in the NFL but not Ray Rice. Rice gave a heart felt apology and acknowledged he made the biggest mistake of his life. What has Mixon done to show his remorse?? I think you need to look up the definition of self defense. What he did was not self defense. Like I said he will be paying for this one day. He is just lucky there wasnt any real men around when this went down.

Yep checkmate....I never said a word so where you get "talk" from? Good game though. Next!;)

Totally agree with you in regards to Rice. Not so much regarding Mixon. We have accomplished nothing except that we agree to disagree. Would you agree with that?

Alright the boards 5* general is done with this non-sense. Have fun debating yourselves fella's. This thread is about a bunch of nothing now. The young lady and Mr. Mixon will probably get married and have 10 kids once he signs his first elaborate NFL contract. Once they get married we'll be one big happy family. God works in mysterious ways. Just sit back and watch God work!

I have no problem with second chances. I just think in order for you to deserve that second chance you have to acknowledge that you made the mistake in the first place. He hasnt done that. His lawyers issued an apology right after his plea deal. I get that his lawyers wanted him to keep quiet due to the potential of a civil suit but he had the platform to not come off as a punk and he failed. He knows hes screwed thats why he entered the plea deal. It would take a few minutes for a jury to find him guilty. Once that civil suit comes hes going to have a hard time proving his deadly force self defense was necessary. Maybe Jerry Jones will give him a chance. He has a couple years to acknowledge what he did was wrong. Hopefully he does that but if that video is ever released it might not matter.

"I just think in order for you to deserve that second chance you have to acknowledge that you made the mistake in the first place. He hasnt done that." THU55, here's where the problem lies. You want the African-American kid to apologize for his mistake but the drunk caucasian girl that instigated the whole situation in the first damn place don't have to apologize for nothing, right? This way of thinking is so wrong on so many levels. You have to understand that some things aren't worth doing. Now if the girl apologizes for creating this mess Mixon then should give a sincere apology for his reactions. Now had Mixon started this mess I would be 100% in agreement with you but we all know that's not the case. You'll be taken more serious when you start giving blame to the girl that started this mess to begin with. See if the girl says she apologizes for instigating the situation she'll most likely lose her civil lawsuit. That's why she'll never apologize for her actions of instigating this mess. And I don't blame her one bit.

First rule for any adult: never let another control your behavior or how you feel...especially a woman

Wow playing the race card. There is zero evidence that supports your claim that she spit and called him any racist name. He started it by insulting her male friend. He is the one that then walked back into the situation where she then gave him a 2 handed push. He then lunged at her and she clearly felt threatened so she gave him a slap to the neck which based on what people said who saw the video had little impact on Mixons well being. He then decided to deck her with deadly force because of this. She didnt just walk up to him and push him. His mouth got him in this situation. You have your unproven idea of what happened and thats fine. My opinions are based on the facts that many saw and heard.

I have acknowledged that they were both to blame but Mixon is held to a different standard. Not because he is black but because he is on a pedestal for being an elite athlete playing at the highest collegiate level. Kids look up to this him and he needs to hold himself to a higher standard then some drunk chick. The only time anyone will hear this girls name again is when she files her civil suit against him. People will hear Mixons name every Saturday during football season and potentially on Sundays. This will follow his name for a while until he acknowledges he made a bad decision. He had that opportunity and failed to do so. Im sure it will come eventually though. Im not asking the kid to take all fault for the situation but a simple acknowledgement that he made a mistake would be nice for those of us who have young kids in our family that may look up to him.

Wow playing the race card. Not at all!! I just want fairness on both sides of the aisle. I would ask the same questions if the girl was A.A and the boy was caucasian. If a drunk A.A chick called a caucasian kid over to her table then spit in his face and called him a derogatory name as well as assaulted him I would say she started that mess. Fair is fair, so if Mixon should apologize by your standards then so should the girl. There is zero evidence that supports your claim that she spit and called him any racist name. He started it by insulting her male friend. So you're saying the reports that say she called him over to her table are false??? If that's the case the whole thing is fabricated. He is the one that then walked back into the situation where she then gave him a 2 handed push. He then lunged at her and she clearly felt threatened so she gave him a slap to the neck which based on what people said who saw the video had little impact on Mixons well being. Can you post the video since you're going on what other people are saying about the video. I'm tired of hearing what others are saying and what they heard about this video. I want to see it for myself now. He then decided to deck her with deadly force because of this. She didnt just walk up to him and push him. His mouth got him in this situation. You have your unproven idea of what happened and thats fine. My opinions are based on the facts that many saw and heard. Many as in you didn't see the video for yourself??? This is why the video along with the audio need to be out before anyone can judge one way or another. Too many people are bias in which that video could shed the "real" light on this subject.

For a guy living in his mothers Folsom basement and is "out" of this thread, you sure seem to stick around like the clap. But we all know you shant worry about that. I don't believe you can get it from your hand.

AND IF ITS FAIR FOR YOU TO LABEL HER A CRACK HEAD THEN ITS FAIR TO REFER TO MIXON AS A "N" WORD
I never said she, said it. That was your quote not mine and it is way off base and way out of context and their is nothing equivalent about the two. It gives us a bit of insight into your concept of equity.

Not hitting anyone is a good rule of thumb, I have learned in life there are exceptions to every rule. Joe's wasn't one of those time's but I understand people are human and everyone has there breaking point.

Again may be my point was missed or not clear. Both are derogatory terms and using either is appropriate. I don't look at it and say oh this one is worse than that one both bad both wrong.

Stay outta grown folks business kid. Go play marbles in the middle of a busy street.

You did play the race card by making it look like I wanted the black kid to apologize but not the white girl. The video is no longer part of public records since he entered his plea deal so it is not available for anyone to see. It was actually given back to the owners of the restaurant who said they destroyed the tape. Of course there is a copy on file but is not available for the anyone to see. If the girl does civil suit I do believe the video then becomes open to the public and will more than likely be released. The video was shown to some in the media and they all had the same accounts on what happened. There was no audio on the video. Hey you never know she might have just called him over to ask Mixon if he had the time lol. Who knows why she called him over. My only point is that using deadly force on a woman when your life is in no danger is not right. Was she right for putting her hands on him? no. Both were in the wrong and you have to put the blame on both. As I previously said though Mixon is held to a higher standard because of who he is and the platform he gets to display himself.

Even Mixons lawyers didnt want the video to be released thats a big reason why they entered the plea deal. They also knew he had no chance and would have been found guilty. So for the sake of Mixons career its probably best that people dont get to form their own opinion by seeing the video.

@thehookup55 ~ Don't be fooled by CaliTrojan the guy is a clear cut racist. He doesn't think any of us have the ability to form a opinion that isn't based on skin color. To him everything boils down to color or race. Sad as it may be in today's day and age there are still many people with these disturbing beliefs.

Follow Mixon's IG or Twitter account...gives you a good idea of what kind of guy he is and he doesn't even see it...its called arrogance. Dude needs to start listening to people who have his best interest at heart, help him grow as a man. Hard to grow as a man when everybody around you praises you and tells you everything you want to hear. Hell an entire University stood behind him when he broke a jaw and an orbital bone of a woman half his size. That would have been a felony assault charge for anyone else who doesn't play football at the University of Oklahoma.

Fyi, "thehookup" doesn't believe this because he's 10X smarter than you. Sorry but only an idiot like you would believe such a thing. You got caught lying so now you're all butt hurt. To say I'm a racist because you got caught lying is that the best comeback you could think of? Really? LMAO!!! You should stop posting because you have been exposed as a liar and your post are irrelevant to those that are smart enough to see through your ignorance. Btw, here's the proper way to utilize "an" & "a". It's not "form a opinion" it's "form an opinion". It's not "I want an banana" it's "I want a banana." You're welcome and G61 said to tell you hi and stop lying.;)

Karma is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaatch! He will keep banging his head against 300 lb lineman and need assisted living by the time he's 30 to change his diapers and things like that. If I was another coach I would pull a sean payton and put a bounty on his head. Life has a funny way of treating people like this.

The funny thing about the hit he took was that it didnt even look bad. Even the Clemson defender looked back down like really youre not getting up.
