Nobody picked the correct score for any of the games, but there were some real close calls....the winner would have received a gallon jug of NIGHT TRAIN which has to be the nastiest stuff made...So I will use it to clean my engine on my truck.

The CVC game ended up by missing a extra point....I've seen six games where the ball has hit the goal post this year plus Redlands blocked a PAT. what a way to end the season

Campolindo's Remoto scooping up the fumble on what looked like a sure victory for Redlands has to be the big play of the five games, who would have expected that to happen.....

Not that it matters a hill of beans - or a gallon of Night Train - but since you are throwing it out there - Cal 14 actually predicted a REV win by 3.

A correction to the comment on the Campolindo-El Capitan game, I gave credit to Redlands for the fumble when it was EC that took a hit and fumbled with Remoto picking up the fumble and taking off on a 84 yard run to the winning TD when it looked like El Capitan had the game in the bag.. Again, this was the game to watch on the five...
BUT, what about the shoot out between DLS and Centennial....at first it looked like a track meet as no body could stop any body...But when the DLS defense clamped down and forced the Huskies to punt, that was the beginning of the end for the Huskies.....And look at the total yards for the two teams.....DLS ran and passed for 595 yards while Centennial put up 534 for a total of 1129 yards, some super fire works....
As for Folsom, the win/loss record for Oceanside made it look like a possible show down, but every one saw what happened as the Bulldogs would not let up in a brutal defeat of the Pirates.
And then there was the one man gang of Miles Harrison who ran wild, but what would have happened if Harrison went down early or mid game and could not return and the Eagles were blessed with this not happening.
But in the first game, the Raiders kept pounding away until the fourth quarter went St. Margaret came alive and turned the game into a respectable loss.

For the record, I actually predicted Folsom would win by 28+ and Redlands East Valley by 3. The CVC by 7 was merely a demonstration that I felt the game was a toss-up, which it was. I got 4 out of the 5 right (gladly, because it meant one more with for the north!).

When do I get my shipment?

:p

CAL14......The NIGHT TRAIN will be in the mail...This five rounds of football has to be the best series of games except for the Folsom massacre......I thought sure CVC had the game in the bag until the QB handed off to Harrison too late and there was no way that Miles could have held onto the ball, a awful way to loose.....

There was a quote in LA Times where one of the REV players said that it came down whoever had the most heart.

What? They won because of a missed PAT!

CAL14......A missed PAT and a blocked PAT and then in the final minutes CVC was driving and was down to about the seven yard line and I thought sure the CVC was going to score, but the bad hand off killed the drive and the missed PAT, plus a blocked PAT , like you say, won the game for Redlands, any thing can happen and did.....Same for the El Capitan-Campolindo game,,,,It looked like El Cap had the game in the bag and all they needed was a FG or cover the final yardage for the TD when the fumble took place and the fortunes of winning the game went the other way....

Not too much mention of Harris carrying the ball 50 carries. Talking about riding a horse. I guess he has until summer to rest!

NCSF......Miles Harris did every thing possible to win that game, he was CVC...He took a pounding on each carry and toward the end he was huffing and puffing, but he never slowest down...If there was a special award for the work he did, he did more then deserve it.....Seems every few years a guy like Miles shows up at the different schools and puts the school on the map,
Miles put on a real show...

Though I did miss the Clayton Valley win and Campo loss. I did mention in my picks that those two games were the ones I wasn't sure about. I nailed the CC, Folsom & DLS victories. Nocal just punked Socal...yup yup!

CAPPYJOHNSON....The CVC and Campolindo games had last minute turn around...The unexpected took place which made exciting endings for Campolindo and Redlands...It sure looked like CVC was going to score as did El Capitan, Depending on who you were routing for, they were surprise victories. Cappy, it was a lot of fun trying....
