Sac-Joaquin D1 Football Playoff Bracket

Edison not very big, but very quick. Lincoln-Stockton’s o-line having trouble blocking them, as they are getting into the backfield. But, Lincoln-Stockton finding ways to run thru that D and move the ball, as well. Trojans score to close the gap.

Edison 28 Lincoln 21 after converting the 2-pointer. 4 minutes left in the half.

Wow! Edison finally stopped on downs midfield. Lincoln-Stockton takes over with 2 minutes left in the half. Now 4th and 18 for the Trojans from their 38 with 1:35 left in the half. Lincoln punting.

Too many penalties against the Vikings set them back to their own 25. 4th and 16 with 11.9 sec left. Vikings punting. 3.2 sec left in the half. Trojans take a knee. Halftime.

Trojans had the ball to start the half but thru a pick inside Viking territory. Vikings drove the field on a couple big pass plays and score to take a 35-21 lead. Trojans kickoff return gives them the ball on Vikings 37. First down on Vikings 24. Face mask penalty gives Lincoln ball on Vikings 15. 4th and 3 from the 5. Trojans going for it!

Edison has a decent offense. Could give Folsom some fits. But Vikings D being tested by Lincoln-Stockton’s offense which is pretty good. Penalty on the Trojans has it 4th and 14. Pass to endzone broken up. Vikings take over.

After Edison turned ball over on downs (penalties killing them), they intercept a long pass to take over on Trojans 14.

Holy crap! Just as my son and I were leaving nearly going out the Edison gates, someone decides to pull out a gun and fire off 5-6 shots. WTF! We started running! We made it out running towards the Lincoln side. As we were running we see the players running leaving the field. Everyone is running and trying to get out safe. We made it out. Got to our car parked on the street outside the visitor parking lot and on our way home.

There were a ton of campus police inside the stadium. As I ran past a few of them standing on the Lincoln side, I yelled, “guns fired!” They looked at me very casually and did nothing, manning their post. But, this made sense as each are assigned areas to protect (not bumblebee soccer). The gunshots were actually just outside the gate. Stockton PD was called and were there within a few minutes. The campus police near the gate (inside) in question I did not see respond (ie. Run to the gate) guessing for same reason (to protect those inside the gate). Yep, it’s Stockton (this part of Stockton)! It appeared to be “normal” calm behavior for most (campus police) like it happens all of the time. Not so normal for me, as I do not venture into this part of town too often, especially at night. Hence, I ran! Never going there again after this experience, even if in future St. Mary’s has a road game there. I’ll just stay at home and watch it on NFHS Network. Happy to be alive!

You may have a best backpedal out of any DB in the region. So, you can insinuate and suggest/hint at something but never say it to stay on the fence. Bravo, way to have an opinion but not really have one or have an opinion but only hint at it and never fully claim it....

Were you dropped on your head as a baby?

You're acting like a hyper-sensitive 5 year old.

SJS D1 is looking tough and unpredictable. Better stay healthy in this division if you want to win it.

This is a great bracket. I see Lincoln, MT, Davis and Del Oro in first round. Second Round upset: Davis over Inderkum. St. Mary's over MT. OR over Del Oro. Finals: Folsom v OR. This one will not be as close as the first meeting.
