Out at Sac State today.
Folsom, De La Salle, Inderkum, Sac High, Downey and Christian Brothers are some of the teams here

One of the Folsom teams beat De La Salle in poor play but De La Salle beat Inderkum and both Folsom squads in the final 3 games

Streak how did the Folsom QB look? The transfer from Wash.
Folsom had two separate teams playing??
I heard from someone who was there that when Folsom and Inderkum played there was about a 5 minute long fist fight and it had to be broken up. They let the teams play it out though.
You know it’s bad when these guys can’t even beat DLS in passing league — typically the Spartans weakest facet. Add the line play and run game and it only gets much, much worse.
Folsom’s teams went 1-2 against DLS. But a valid point. Spartans will have one of its better passing attacks in awhile. Probably have to go back to the Bart Houston teams.
I’d put this year’s Spartan passing attack far above the Bart Houston teams. Bart didn’t throw much at all, and really only did once the defense stacked the box. With players like Hale & Daley, they should be able to open it up more this season.
And why not, they have more skill guys than some teams have had in 10 years.Yes they split their team. Badger/Ngata led one group with Jake Hutton and Lynch led the other with Ari
Not surprised, 7 on 7 or regular season. Also Del Oro took the place of Downey. It lost to Folsom and De La Salle in its first two games
Is this what Folsom is about? No place for it.Had to be broken up but 2 mins tops. More shoving than punches, but did have some punches when it first broke out
They look very good at the skill positions in 2019/2020. The 2002/2003 team that had Colvin and Fitzgerald at WRs, Terrence Kelly at TE, Maurice Drew at RB and Cecil at QB was very talented at pass catcher positions off top of my head. Cecil wasn't a prototype QB, like Matt Gutierrez was for all the previous 3 years, but he was mobile and threw accurately when needed in passing situations. Take those players and a passing offense and QB today and they could average between 350 to 450 yards a game and run another 200 and pretty much score at will and snuff every competitor on offense with the defense they had.I do think this is their best group of receivers they’ve had since I started following. And Hale has taken some good steps in his development.
2002/2003 DLS team had QB Brit Cecil and WRs Cameron Colvin and DeMontae Fitzgerald and Terrance Kelly at TE, and didn't hurt to have Maurice Drew at RB

I should of added that I’ve been following since 2007 or so. The 2002/2003 group was outstanding by all accounts.

Yes there was. 4 NFL players drafted or signed in the NFL and maybe the most talented high school player in norcal ever in DJ Williams (Simon was close). Simons father used to post on one of the local internet boards at the time. There was more talent than that in '99. WR's - Kevin Fordon, Charles Favroth, Demetrius Williams and Johnny Tucker. TE -Devin Cook RB's - Kevin Simon and D.J. Williams ....Matt Gutierrez put up 300yds passing and 6 td's vs MD
You're lucky. You're a young guy! LOL

3 years!I was at the game at UOP when Gutierrez threw those 6 TD’s... I went to several games that year and I still think DJ Williams is the greatest HSFB player I have seen... That dude was a monster in person!!!....
The other team I would put up there is the 2001 Team that Beat Poly.... That Team was Loaded and had Derek Landri (The Best HSFB Lineman I have Seen), and MJD along with Gutierrez and Demitrius Williams... I am sure there are others I am missing....
Those 2 Teams were Both Awesome, for me you could flip a coin for either one being “The Best DLS Team Ever”....
That being said, I am very excited to watch the next 2 years... This Offense will be fun to watch!!!...
Bear in mind Houston, with almost 20 varsity starts under his belt, crapped against Aquinas to start his senior year, when his “passingFolsom’s teams went 1-2 against DLS. But a valid point. I'm not so sure about always being veer dependent. In title game against Mater Dei it looked like they "modernized" their passing game with a few new wrinkles. It's out of their traditional comfort zone but I wouldn't be surprised if they continued that trend this year. DeLa winning the Sac State tournament is a bit of a surprise, particularly against Folsom as DLS has been average at their own 7x7 summer tourney the last few years.Bear in mind Houston, with almost 20 varsity starts under his belt, crapped against Aquinas to start his senior year, when his “passing
ability” was needed. In fact, a baseball player threw their only TD that game on a trick play. Houston’s PR was third -barely ahead of league MVP Lockie (Oregon)- in the EBAL that year. He was big, not fast, and the rushing TDs almost all were 1-2 yd plunges. Hale, smaller and more nimble, brings a wrinkle.
DeLa was and (always) will be dependent on the veer with 2-3 fast backs every year. QB there, always heralded since Gutierrez made it to the show, is less important than other schemes. How do you explain their success with the Big Bopper (Williams,) another baseball player, going 29-1 in his two years barely above .500 completion rate?
Don't be sorry, highly respectable. Often see names of teenagers thrown around here and disparaged at same time without repercussions, amazingly childish.Sorry on the name but i want to respect her privacy.
