Score was 42 - 28 SMB @ halftime. Brookside came roaring back in second half and took the lead briefly in the 4th quarter. But SMB held on for the win. Length of Carolyn Gill & Kennedi Villa gave Brookside problems in the first half. Lot of deflected passes. De'janae Evans had about 4 - 3 pointers in the game. Kennedi Villa was 8 for 9 from the line with about 16 points in the game. Gill was all over the floor as usual.

Good Win for SMB.

The floor looked more like a cafeteria than a gym.

Its was a great game it was the tell of 2 halves. Brookside came out flat showed from the 2 weeks layoff. The 3 quarter look like Brookside and pressed most of the second half. Too much time without no games always shows. But great game SMB cant take nothing away from them. Brookside this year lost 2 game at home and only played 2 games at home. Brookside on the road is a better team.

I could be wrong, but I think SMB has been playing without Gill and Villa two of their better players. So some of the games they loss early on they may have won if they were at fuller strength. Most teams can't afford to miss key players like perhaps Mitty could. Sounds like a game I would have enjoyed watching. Too bad someone had to get the loss.

SMB bearly lost to Salesian which beat alot good teams this year. Their roster is strong with going into the playoffs. Brookside will be get back there 6'2 players for the playoffs. Brookside migjt even be 7 strong in the playoffs.

This week will show how strong SMB is. They play St Pat's on Senior Night on Tuesday & Salesian on Friday at full strength. Can't look pass St Pat's, they gave Salesian fits this past month. Villa is finally close to full strength after missing most of season with her knee injury.

SMB going to shock alot of teams in the playoffs because they are at full strenght and a good coach the cosches the old school way of playing! Hopefully Brookside is at full strength too nobody seen them at full strenght either all year. They seen them at 6 but not 7!!!!!!

I am impressed with the new coach (Toler) He actually has them running plays and they are buying into his style of play. If they can cut down on their turnovers they will be tough to beat.

He a very good coach I because he dies have big name stars. But they will be after they are buy into to his old school coaching. They will be back on top in the NCS.
