1. Mission (27-7) Loss to NC Champs Palma in nail biter in Salinas. By far, the most entertaining team in City.
2. Riordan (12-17). Despite record, played best ball at end of season losing in NC semis.
3. Stuart Hall (22-12) Took St. Joe's into Double OT. Again playing best ball at end.
4. SHC (12-17) Like Riordan ran through DIII opponents, barely missing NC championship.
5. SI (16-11) Coach M. gets most of his talent and youth. Watch out for Cats next few years.
6. Urban (24-10) What a great job by this coaching staff.
7. University (24-10). Hard to distinguish between all the BCL teams this year.
8. Burton (20-11). Nice comeback year for Burton.
9. Lick Wilmerding (25-6) Arguably best team in LW history.
10. SHC Girls Varsity (20-9) Only team to make it to State Championship
Again, eight teams qualified for NorCal; Should have been 9 with S.I. The City should be very proud of itself. Now go watch some baseball.

1. Mission (2-0) Team's depth proves too much in playoffs. A hot Pacific Grove awaits.
2. Riordan (2-0). Benefactor of CCS III. Healthy and winning games in front of them.
3. University (2-0) Cream rising to the top. Benefactor of competitive preseason.
4. SHC (1-1) A benefactor of a second/third chance. Scary, nothing to lose.
5. SI (1-1) Back end of season and youth catches up to Cats. Definitely on rise in Sunset.
6. Urban (2-0) Wrong time to lose to University. Home match v. Eastside Prep will be fun.
7. Burton (1-1). Would not be surprised with first round upset. Congrats making NorCals.
8 Stuart Hall (0-1) I like Charlie's experience in first round.
9. Lick Wilmerding (1-1) Season's totality gives Tigers one more shot. Oops, Half Moon Bay.
10. Lincoln (2-0). Considering the depth and lack of height this year, a very positive season.
Eight teams in San Francisco qualified for NorCals. That is an amazing accomplishment. March 9 at Kezar is a NorCal double-header. Have fun and good luck to all.

1. Mission (1-1) controversial (yet exciting) loss to Wash puts chink in armor. No wiggle room.
2. Urban (2-0) All a coach can ask for from his team. On verge of NorCals.
3. St. Ignatius (1-0) did they even need Emory in first round CCS? Back in right direction.
4. Riordan (1-0) WCAL is just too good for CCS opponents.
5. SHC (1-0) same as Riordan. After spotting Hillsdale 10-0 Irish wake up. Only Irish can beat Irish.
6. Burton (1-0). They are in good position this week to make serious move.
7. University (2-0) The ship has righted; should be fun on 3/2.
8 Stuart Hall (2-0) SH knows NCS, but St. Joseph is looming.
9. Lick Wilmerding (1-1) nice season. Program in good shape.
10. Lincoln (2-0). But Lowell on their heels.
Mission better not look past Lowell this week in semis. There could be match-up problems. Burton is aggressive and wants more one more chance with Bears (but see above). The BCL season is paying dividends in NCS. At least one going on to NorCals. CCS game of week should be Riordan v.
