San Mateo ended a 13-season Little Big Game losing streak by defeating Burlingame, 17-14, Saturday in front of 3,000 fans on the Bearcats' field. The Bearcats gobbled up four Burlingame turnovers, including three pass interceptions, to preserve the victory. Burlingame leads the series that began in 1927, 59-33-4. San Mateo ended its season 6-4. Burlingame is 3-7. The Panthers, by dint of their A league status, are projected to be a low seed in the upcoming Central Coast Section playoffs.
