St Mary's beats Lincoln 29-14. The Rams salted away the game with the running attack and the defense got multiple stops near or in the red zone.

Bellarmine beat Valley Christian 24-21. The teams traded scores in the final minute.

Orestimba leads Gustine 21-13 with less than a minute left
Del Oro beat Granite Bay 17-14

Central Catholic leads Oakdale 42-31 in Q4.

Palma and San Benito are tied at 26 heading to overtime

Orestimba (sounds like the sequel to "Lion King"), hung onto its 8 point 4th quarter lead over Gustine (sounds like a saint who got de-beatified) to beat the Redskins 21-13. The politically incorrect Redskins lead 6-0 at the end of the first half and scored only once during the 3rd quarter, but it wasn't enough to contain the Warriors from Neuman who scorded three TDs during the 2nd half. The contest concludes the regular season for each team which entered the game tied with 9-0 records, best in the SJS Southern league. Muds

Sounds like one of those Charles Kuralt "On the Road" series of unusual places to view a small town, Friday Night Lights feature. Would love to see a Jamboree featuring those two teams Orestimba and Gustine along with my two favorite tongue twisters, Etiwanda and Inderkum. For a boy from the Midwest these teams conjure up images of brightly colored team uniforms, frenetic cheerleaders and exotic food offerings at the Snack Shacks....
