With roughly 4-6 games left until playoffs, this is going to be a wild finish and seeding will most likely be butchered by SJS. This year I can’t blame them, it’s such a toss up.

1) Modesto, Lincoln or Inderkum MC could have-2 wins over Lincoln and win league outright. In which case I see Lincoln falling to a 3-6 seed with other teams from( delta, SFL) winning there leagues respectively. Can Lincoln tie up league, be co-champs what happens then who gets 2-4?? Inderkum has been excellent all year and presumably wins league and sits at 26-1 I believe they are the 1.

2) The SFL and Delta league mash up, MT beat Folsom, Sheldon beats Rocklin, Rocklin beats Folsom, MT beats Sheldon, Sheldon beats MT. Jesuit beats Rocklin, it’s all over the place. SFL is still up for grabs, MT and Sheldon Split and look to be Co-Champs but Sheldon needs to beat Franklin. And Folsom @ Jesuit will not be an easy win for the Bulldogs. I think winner of Delta should get a better seed then winner of SFL based off head 2 head matchups. But who knows?!

3) Where the hell does Vanden fit in all of this?? Apparently they are now D1 via Maxpreps, they have wins over Sheldon and Lost to Lincoln by a buzzer beater. It’s going to be very difficult this year to seed these playoffs without shafting someone.

My shot in the dark based on MC beating Lincoln twice. Folsom wins league, Sheldon Beats Franklin.

1) Inderkum
2) Modesto
3) MT
4) Folsom
5) Lincoln
6) Vanden
7) Sheldon
8) Jesuit
9) Franklin
10) Pitman
11) Weston Ranch
12) Oak ridge
Blah blah blah

What’s your thoughts?? I can see Folsom at 3 seed, But the Loss to MT hurt them. I like Sheldon over MT but rankings will affect that. I like MC over Inderkum but again rankings. Folsom, MC and Sheldon need to win out or this Bracket is Busted.

16 teams all have the same dream to win Section championship.
When they meet for seedings, they use MaxPreps as a guide for placement.
They do look at travel, try to not match league opponents against each other in the 1st round.
If you look at seedings they never make sense for some. at the end of the day, you play who's in front of you.

It's getting close!!

Yup... Like the seed or not, the only way is: Beat the ones they send at ya. Keep on beating people until they run out of people.

I fondly remember that time (Aidan's soph year) that Campo got placed #10 in D1 Norcal. Quite a few people on this forum suggested my guys got a raw deal, but I said zero complaining words, though I thought it wasn't exactly a nice seeding for my guys...

Then Campo went to Capital Christian and won a 60-58 thriller there... Then the Cougs faced Salesian at their de facto "home gym", Albany, and won by a 60-59 count. Then they went to DLS and beat the Spartans in front of their home crowd, 54-49.

All three games were classics, made all the better because the Cougs never had to "hold serve" at home. Quite possibly the most exciting three-game stretch I ever got to witness.

Unfortunately, Covid killed the title games, so we'll never know if the Cougs could have upset Ribet Academy, ranked #4 nationally at the time. That would have been a VERY tall order indeed, but not one the Cougs would have backed down from.

Riordan was to play DLS in the semi that year after beating MC and Vanden. Then COVID hit and DLS was automatically slotted to host Campo. Real head scratcher.

You said Sheldon needs to beat Franklin a couple of times which your right. But MT has to beat Franklin also. Sheldon beat MT by 16 and lost by 3. Sheldon beat Franklin by 14 was up 20 in 4th. MT beat Franklin by 11 . Last night Elk Grove led MT at MT all the way till 4th qtr. Long way to go !!!
