Wow, what a win for Granite Bay! and what a season they have had. They lost twice to Franklin earlier this season, but beat them in most important game of the season for them.
Can anyone comment on this team and why they are having so much success? From their roster on Maxpreps, only 1 senior! I have not seen them play this year, but after losing 2 top players (Specht to Folsom and Jackson to CB), I didn't think they would be too competitive. Some big wins down the stretch to get a 5 seed ahead of Folsom and Woodcreek, and make the most of it with a huge win last night.

They have players that can shoot the ball. Give them room and they will nail the three consistently. They will not give up. They are the type of team that somehow pulls off the win. Good for them! But may not impress the experts. But their winning should.

I think the biggest surprise last night was Woodcreek only scoring 20 points for the entire game, losing to Oak Ridge. On December 21, 2019 (two months ago), Woodcreek scored 49 points beating Oak Ridge at Oak Ridge, 49-41. So Woodcreek had previous success in Oak Ridge's gym, but must have had a terrible shooting night, on top of Oak Ridge getting revenge from that earlier loss with a great defensive effort.
