SSU Ending Athletics!

Really sad news. And agree that won't be the last school of their size to drop sports. And that is a tough situation for a lot of high school athletes

Sonoma has 5,000 students.
Chico has 27,000

that is the difference
Sonoma State always a great place to learn and play, sad day for the North Bay.
Always a sad day when programs are eliminated from mismanagement from over paid administrators.
Stanislaus State is facing some fiscal challenges, but they have a growing enrollment of nearly 10,000.
Humboldt has over 8,100 students
Monterey has nearly 8,000
Cal-State East Bay-Hayward almost 11,000
Sacramento State 31,000 students.
It appears Student Athletes are moving away from the north Bay into Sacramento and the Central Valley.

Your way off on Chico. They've never had 27k students in history of university. They have been around 13-15k post pandemic and even they have lost enrollment. The fires really impacted that school.

SSU was very poorly run and had a string of bad presidents.
