St. Francis in control throughout vs Riordan on Senior night at the Crusader Forum. Riordan's play since Justice Turner went down has been very disappointing. Not happy with the offensive and defensive schemes.
Offense is 1 on 5 with everyone just standing around. Ball handlers needlessly stopping their dribble enabling to be double-teamed. Riordan could not even execute several inbound passes turning into unforced turnovers. Defense has leaks throughout. Certainly not the level of play they displayed in non-league where there was constant motion, moving the ball with the pass and off ball players were cutting. Does not have a player that can dominate 1 on 1 at this point. This team has solid talent but certainly has regressed compared to the other WCAL teams. Crusader alum, Dwayne Fontana, in the crowd and he did not look happy. Probably thinking why they let his good friend Coach Buckner go. Just calling it as I see it-and it hasn't been pretty. Crusaders have a lot of work to do to make a good run in Sectionals.
