State Bowl Scoreboard

Same thing happened when McClymonds was in D2 with 320 students, who was pushed up 4 divisions in the last SBG, it's tough,, Bigger school's depth can come into play because they have larger enrollment pool. Small schools can go good with maybe the first 11-17 and mostly all going both ways all game, but after that it's a fall off in the quality of players compared to larger schools of like 1200-5000 student schools.
People cry for McClymonds but we all know very well that we’re not talking about a normal or representative 320. That is a magnet school where just about all of the public school football players end up. This is nowhere near how D-7AA Fall River has 130 students.

It's not a magnet school it's no different from any other school public.

Ok, so it’s just an odd coincidence that they haven’t lost in the OAL for about a decade and that they win just about every game by 40+.

Yeah, whatever.

So far, Folsom is looking very good on offense - 7-0 Folsom/

Wow - may be another high scoring game - Folsom 7-6. CC missed the PAT

Good opening drive for Folsom. Little guy like #13 with offers from Alabama and Georgia he must be the real deal

CC takes first lead at 13-7 early Q2. CC uses PA to hit TD with Folsom playing the run hard.

Bad close to half for Cathedral. Didn’t take last TO and missed a wide open guy on opposite side of the field.

Cathedral leads 13-7 at the half

Besides Sutton CC running backs Whaley and Bond are also studs. Moi on DL is legit

Pass hits #10 from CC in the hands and he returns it for a pick 6. Read the play the whole way

Cathedral leads 20-7 10 mins left Q3

It happens it goes in cycles, it was actually the same way with Skyline for many years, and was Oakland high. At one time they were even a basketball powerhouse and finished number 2 in the nation. 32-0 ask Damian Lillard who I watched play at Oakland high he'll tell you the same thing.. just as and then late 50s early 60s they were 3 years number one nationally. Just a school with a lot of pride But you would think what you want, people always afraid of what they don't know or understand. I was just making a point earlier on school sizes and enrollments earlier on how that can affect their depths. That may be true with some schools and that may have been true with some schools.

This is what kills me.
They are a power in football. They used to be the gold standard in Hoops. I just don't get the disconect that is happening at the school. I have never gotton a clear answer to that situation.
Is it the Water?

Here's wishing you great football.

Passing game isn’t always nice to watch but Cathedral gets another passing TD to go up 26-14.

I remember Skyline football winning the OAL for decades.Dont even know when that came to an end,it was a foregone conclusion for so long

It stayed up for a little while they remained contenders but it was not too long after Coach John Beam took the coaching job at Laney College.
