Village Christian leads 25-14 with 359 left in Q2. VC has had runs of 11-0 and 8-0 to push the lead into double digits.

Halftime: Village Christian leads 29-23 at halftime. Mercy Odima had 11 points for Village Christian. Alayah Bell has 8 points for Eastside.

Eastside looks primed to win its first state title. Up 55-48 with 207 left. They have won the fourth quarter 14-6 so far

Eastside Prep wins its first state title with a 57-50 win over Village Christian. Eastside went on a 31-14 run in the second half.

The long court, in part, got to Village Christian -- and ESCP's conditioning, which is a year-long effort, paid off bigtime.

It's also true that experience in state title games makes a difference.

Just one big and Eastside could be in the Open next year.

and ESCP has now made 2 straight state title games.....winning 1.
