Anyone know what the deal is with SP this year? I thought for the longest that they were an actual HS with an actual campus and the whole shiz but I’m now hearing they are more similar to Bishop Sycamore if anything.

Been around 10 years or so. I think their “owner” Desmond Gumps moved on to shady Lincoln U in Oakland. He sons played at SP and one was a multi state OLB/DE who scholarships and played as a true freshman for Oklahoma. Left after year 1 not sure what happened. They usually have 2-3 scholarship type players but I heard they are never accepted into ncaa universities due to not being accredited. They were kind of ahead of their time trying to become a transfer powerhouse type thing but transferring was very strict in the NCS under Gil Lemmon. It’s a little looser now but it used to be 50% regular season sit out period, sometimes even with a change of address, sometimes even 1 year sit out.
