Yuba City improved 14-2 on Monday with a 2-1 win over Del Campo. Senior Brandon Pelechowicz had a home run and threw six innings in giving up three hits, three walks and an unearned run with 12 strikeouts.
On the year, the 6-foot-2 Pelechowicz is hitting .510 with five home runs, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored. He is also 4-1 with a 0.44 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 31.2 innings.
The Honkers have won 11 in a row after losses to McClatchy (8-7) and West Park (13-4).
